I have been a lifelong PUB just like most everyone else on here. My question is am I the only one glad to see George W gone.:dance2:

I look at it like this... (I too am a "PUB") We know were used to what Bush would do, and say. Now we get this guy who in his 2 years of campaigning for this office, has not said much as to what he really is going to do. It has all been retoric.

So am I happy Bush is gone, I don't know. I guess I'm nervous about if I will miss him in a feew months.

I realize this will draw considerable ridicule, but I ain't a PUB, and I am very glad that G-dub is gone from office. Although Mr. Obama has thus far presented nothing but rhetoric, at least the man is able to speak and present a cogent argument. I have been embarrassed by our former president for years, and I look at the last 8 years as the biggest money grab by the connected and well off (at the expense of the rest of us) in the history of mankind.

considering he's stumbled on his words during the campaign trail, and had some trouble today. everyone wants to blame W for the economic troubles, however when the "pubs" tried to bring up the problems that the housing market was going to cause due to loaning money to ppl who cld not pay their mortgage, the dems pushed it aside like it was nothing. funny ppl forget that the dem congress approval ratings are lower than Bush's

He's inarticulate and not a serious man--a former frat boy from an ultra-privileged background who went to Texas and drank a lot of the Jesus Juice down there, dropped out of the National Guard, then had everything handed to him because of his Dad. Somehow managed to win the presidency twice. Lied to get us into a war--a fact southern rednecks aren't comfortable acknowledging.

Obama IS serious, is articulate, is sensible--a guy from an underprivileged background who's made himself a better man than Bush will EVER be.

How many Presidents have been in a fraternity? How serious does one have to be to know the correct number of states in the country in which one resides?
