it had nothing to do with it? The economy was fine? No big event happened in 2001 coupled with the dot com bust? Yes, I am starting to see the trend and blinders you are talking about

The big event was when who was in office and who was it that masterminded that attack?...Wasn't it the guy who is still loose?

Excuse Me? :lolabove: so You are telling me that because people were allowed to move into home they could not afford caused this entire country to collapse??...When Clinton left office the country was in fine shape, The economy was fine...Are You seeing a trend here?...Or do you have your blinders on?...bush starts a war with a country We had no business attacking...NONE...ZERO...And its costing the USA billions a month..National security was NOT at risk from Iraq and if you believe in the weapons of mass destruction crap then you truly are stupid...He attacked iraq and left a madman loose in the world....7 years later that madman is STILL loose...Explain to me oh genius of the civics book why that is?....And why oh why did the USA elect a democratic president if the republicians were doing such a bang up job?...Oh and i've heard this many times from the republicans, " we are so close to winning"...Exactly WHAT are we so close to winning?...Iraq?...See Vietnam for that answer :salute:

Are Bush & Cheney crooks....I think so.
We have not been attacked since 9/11. Please don't discount the significance of that.
We took the fight to the Taliban where muslim extremist were being trained.
I'm not sure why we invaded Iraq & probably should not have done that without UN approval/help.
Obama seems to be a racist or at least support racism IMO.
Clinton was a jerk who set up government programs that has costs us trillions of dollars in handouts.

In the end.....they all suck. Elect me....I'll fix it if I can have fall Saturdays off. Deal?

WRONG!!!!!!!!!!!!

The economy had already started it's downturn before he left office.

BTW, letting a few million move into houses they couldn't afford, was an economic disaster for this nation.

What's amazing to me is the same people who seem to know 0 about football are the ones who also know 0 about anything else in life. They just take what is fed to them and regurgitate it or talk out of their butt.

Check the unemployment rates from 2000 to today.

the 9 yrs answer was a ? that was asked about the article written in 2000. The 2003 article was about more info on Cheney. Perhaps you feel Bush did good while in office, I can point to countless people who have lost hundreds of thousands of dollars from losing their jobs thus their house and it snowballs from there. The default on home loans the past 8 yrs has more to do with finance companies making stupid loans to people with 500 beacons trying to cash in for their investors when property values were soaring. The problem was Country Wide was placing these people in ARM loans and instead of them putting some measures in place to educate and inform the people to refinance within 2 yrs to a conventional loan they rolled the dice to thump the people for more money for them and their investors but it backfired on them. People could not handle the adjusted rates and faulted on their loans, the housing market became flooded with repos and property values dropped.

All of this is directly a product of the initiatives put in place by Carter and expanded by Clinton.

So tell me ole wise one, if Carter started it why did it not show up during the Reagan yrs, Bush Senior and Clinton a span of 20 yrs but it hit with GW. Don't hand me no bull man I voted for Reagan and Bush Sr but I be da*n if I will be so blind to blame our economy today on Clinton. Our economic woes are about greed from our politicians to the financial institutions. It sure is ironic that politicians acknowledge a problem but none seemed to want to do anything about it until it was official. Politicians are some of the biggest crooks in our country and I wish the people could vote on after they serve their term they receive no more money from the gov't for life.

Republicans are what ruined this country the past 8 years...They are the reason unemployment is at an all time high...They started a useless war and have proven absolutely nothing by it...Defending Bush is insane and whoever does is completely blind....And left a complete mess for Obama to clean up..This is certainly not worth discussing in this area of the forum.

Those damn republicans need to hire more people:lolabove::blink:

Jeepers, who turned out the lights, man do the cockroaches ever come out in the dark or what??

If this was a connect the dots thread, the whole page would be one big scribble.:eek:hmy:

Nothing wrong with it if the rules had been followed. You can't let a 500 beacon buy a $250,000 house with a household income of $35,000 a yr.

I agree Gman. Here's a link that explains some of the problem that act has caused.Yes, it has a republican slant, but like the link you provided it does have some nuggets of information in it,you just have to wade through some BS.
