Amateur Hour Continues

The previous administrations approach.
Was it a good thing...... Oh nevermind the but Obama, you don't think we should give any country aid. So I'm sure you praised Obama's and Congresses for that decision and condemning Trump when he decided too, right? Nice little dig on Obama though.

Come back out and play @hog88 and answer the question.

It what way has he catered to Putin?
Apparently you missed Helsinki and all the chummy meetings. In addition, Trump's claiming Ukraine meddled in our election despite the theory previously being debunked. The general consensus from the intelligence community says this is a Russia plant

So he was nice to them at a meeting and he claims Ukraine meddled in our election? Your idea of soft is very different than mine.

It wasn't a dig. It is fact. And you are correct, I preferred Obama's approach.

Do you think President Obama should have given them weapons?

Then we need better people in our intelligence community

At the time, yes I thought congress should approve of weapons. It appears the Obama Administration and Congress knew enough to know they needed to address the corruption in post USSR Ukraine. Remember the passenger plane shot down from Ukraine by pro Russian rebels? Does the name Manafort ring a bell when talking about corruption in Ukraine?

???

At the time the Obama administration was saying very little, if anything, about corruption in the context of providing Ukraine lethal military aid. I don't know why you proceed to reference the airliner, as if it's connected to your previous sentence? The fact that Russians shot down the plane would be a strong argument in favor of proving said aid.

Well it has to do with lethal weapons and where they may end up in a corrupt country. No direct connection between the Obama rational and public statements.

If the country is in such bad shape that the regular army (not militias) couldn't hold onto missiles, that would be something.

From what I could tell Obama's decision was he thought U.S. weapons would escalate the conflict.
