I don't get what's abnormal about it. From pregame military aircraft flyovers to citizens touring Aircraft carriers in NYC, people love the military stuff.
I think it's ridiculous but i cant see the stretch to the "norms and values" point.

Make no mistake about it, Trump is just egotistical enough to try and make the entire event in DC about himself and his own personal grievances. What a petty, little narcissistic man.

A parade with tanks is exactly what we are used to seeing from the Russians and the North Koreans. We are the United States of America. We don't need to flaunt our war machines. Every country in the world already knows that we can kick their a$$. Who are we trying to impress and why? What purpose does it serve?
