As soon as Seacrest announced the "twist" I knew Sam was the low man again. They tried to get the contestants to vote secret-ballot for a proposal to suspend tonight's elimination until next week, with the caveat that 2 people would leave next week instead of one. But this was really a desperate attempt for the producers to keep their chosen one, Sam, alive. They did make one mistake, though...they required a unanimous vote for the proposal to pass...they probably thought all 5 of them would gladly accept it. They were wrong. There were 2 votes against it.
Idol is more about creating drama than it is about showcasing talent anymore. I suppose it always has been, but it gets worse every year. I thought the idea of having the contestants vote on whether or not to suspend the vote was ridiculous. The judges seemed surprised that there were any no votes.

I think they're all friends up to a point, but there can only be one winner.I admit I was slightly surprised as well, but not shocked by any means. I guess I was more prepared for the disappointment of someone NOT going home. Guess the whole "happy family", sitting around the dinner table talking facade is just that.
Holy crap, Jena just won it all. That take on Elvis's "Can't Help Falling In Love" is the high point of the entire season.
I am not that excited about Jena. I think Caleb is way better than the other three.
I would rank the final four
1.Caleb
2. Jessica
3. Jena
4. Alex.
The judges have been trying to swing the votes to Jena. They have been unfairly critical of Jessica.
I would vote to send Alex home but Jessica will probably be gone.
Jmo.
I must be watching a different show because for the life of me I don't see what everyone likes about her. IMO she butchers every song she does, and the Elvis song was the biggest hatchet job of them all.Holy crap, Jena just won it all. I guess that's why music is so diverse. I literally stood up to watch her perform that song. I was just mesmerized by her choice of melody. I have listened to it at least half a dozen times today. I thought it was phenomenal.
