What of the half that are coming in here legally?

What of the ones who are here now running up the bill? Pay more money for border security and also pay the bill for the illegals here already until we find time to get to them?

I am for using the military wherever we feel we need to defend ourselves. I bet using the military to secure the borders would cost less or about the same as the 900 page bill.

Yeah man, it’s more important to spend BILLIONS in Iraq and lose brave soldiers for a country that is happy to piss on us. Bravo Bush! Way to go with the WMD’s! Way to let the Taliban regain operational power in Afghanistan! Yeah man, you rock Bush!:rock:

Check the cost of border security in Iraq. Check Posse Comitatus regs as well. States have sayso in that aspect and even Governor Rick "my hairpiece is cheap" Perry of TX (R) has said cracking down is 'inhumane'.

Leave it to you to bring that darn Posse Comitatus into this mess. That law has been suspended before and it sure needs to be again! Put the troops on the border. Crossings will stop pronto!

I would but the newborn is not happy. The nanny is having a hard time communicating with her...language thing I think.

I'm all for secure borders BUT also for taking care of all of the other issues with it. To turn the leaky pipe in the house problem around.....

If you have a leaky pipe flooding your house and there are 6 people in your house do you have all 6 stepping all over each other to fix the leaky pipe OR do you put the other 5 to work cleaning up the water and saving all the valuables from being damaged or destroyed? Personally I go for the putting the others to work path. I'm not big on the government highway project where 10 people stand around while one guy works. If you have the manpower to actually have everyone pitching in and doing their part, why not go that route? I just think it's odd that in the greatest country on earth we have to do a single task at a time rather than multi-task. Clearly seeing how the voices of the opponents of this bill drove politicians to work, why couldn't they go with a comprehensive plan and use that same energy to make sure the politicians keep that promise? It's how this system was designed. These people serve us. We can't sit back and rely on these fatcats to do anything. Make them work on the full problem and then step on toes etc to get the problem solved.

As long as people read that bill and not rely on Boortz and Dobbs I'm for it. I'd rather get a true poll result based on knowledge of the bill itself.
