I actually just read it, sums the low that we are climbing out of. CBJ thank you for helping our players hold their heads high and to bringing the pride back to UT.

Hopefully with indifference. Who cares about some assistant coach that has failed everywhere he's been?

Apparently the writer has trouble coming up with fresh and currently relevant article subject matter.

Exactly he's a loser everywhere.. He rides coattails of great coaches and reaps the rewards.. f'em Crazy Al was correct in his judge of character of Lane... Alabama and Lane deserve each other. I'm tired of the dude..

It's slow in the sports world. Debates on LeBron's jersey number are happening.

Didn't Kiffin end up hiring Carpenter? Refused to take no for an answer and even used Monte in the recruitment?

It's not news...just interesting firsthand accounts of an event that affected us...if it bothers you so much, start a thread about who our starting QB will be. :eek:k:

It was over four years ago. The article treats it like "Where were you when Kennedy was assassinated?"

Come on.

I think the author did a solid job. He got input from a ton of different folks that were affected by the event in different ways.

No, it's not current. But the entire situation was a debacle that a lot of people are going to remember for a long time.

And heck, it's the offseason...

I actually found that pretty interesting. Never seen it presented from that many view points. And I still kind of like watching the riots taking place...

And before anyone says that they need to conduct themselves better than that, ask yourself if you are one of those people always complaining about how the students aren't passionate enough..

The past is the past, however this article needs to be posted for all college football programs to see as an act of public service.

this article details minute by minute, line by line how you end up with a coach like Derek Dooley.

Dooley and Kiffin along with Hamilton will forever be linked. for without this tremendous act of treachery at the 11th hour, we would not have ended up with such an inept boob for a coach and the program may not have reached the utter depths of depravity that it did.

You do understand this is a Tennessee forum, yes? How can one receive sympathy from one's self?

Back on Kiffin...

What gets thrown at him first in his return to Knoxville?

A.) eggs
B.) rocks
C.) paper
D.) photoshopped pictures of a him and Saban in some sort of sexual position
