Conjoined twins aren’t a different sex, nor are other rare and terrible abnormalities. I really think some of you guys would believe anything.

If I asked you how many toes a person has would you include all genetic abnormalities and all cases of trauma? “Well, I have 9, but a conjoined twin could have 20, and my cousin has 12”

Rare abnormalities are not how you define a species.

This is always a fun debate, especially when you have a relatively good grasp of genetics and anatomy.

By one of the above definitions, I guess I'm supposed to tell parents of a child with mild hypospadias that he isn't actually a boy? How about after his outpatient surgical correction, is he a boy then?

What is the primary cause of hypospadias? How does the placement of the opening of the ureter along the penis have anything to do with sex?

So once again, you do not define a species based on rare, non viable, genetic defects. If you ask me how many heads a snake has, I wouldn’t start rambling about conjoined twins (the literally case the “source” listed mentioned) and try to proclaim snakes have two heads.

It’s not science. It’s activism. I’m sorry if you’re really swayed by this non sense and would recommend you be more skeptical in the future

But now you want to define a species based off less than 1 in 1,000 people? Seem by your standard we would have to say that p<0.001, then it's insignificant.

It's nice to see a few elected leaders at least pretend to demand answers. It could also simply be for show. Hopefully they have a genuine concern and won't stop demanding answers until we get some
