Another bad apple (George Floyd case)

It's protesters. So you think 100% of the protesters are committing crimes. Where did you get confirmation for this idea? Have you spoken to each one to verify your assumption?
You need to educate yourself on how riots start. The majority of these people are not “protestors” in any since of the word

That is exactly what I was doing. Too many on here want to lump them all into the same category.

Same can be said for MSM, liberal politicians and social media. Why are all LEOs having to bear the brunt of criticism when only 1 officer went rogue?

What if MPD rehires the other 3 officers at the scene and if the DA decides to only charge Chauvin with M1. Is that acceptable? They were just lumped together with Chauvin at the scene and didn't participate.

What I think is happening. They got the autopsy results back and he died from something they can't tie to the knee on his neck and they are scrambling to figure out what to/how to charge them with something they can convict because they knew from the jump that a not guilty verdict would lead to Minneapolis burning.

Too late.

I guess the other officers could’ve stopped the one officer yet the “peaceful protesters” can’t step in to try and stop the looters, rioters, and vandals.

Do you think they would actually get charged and convicted if it's clear cut defending a life that's in clear and imminent danger? As in video of the entire ordeal?
Yes, lay one hand on that cop or even act like you were and you would be right next to the guy on the road. The cop and his buddies need to be in prison for a long time.

We know from past experience the oppressed looters don’t care about why or justification.

LEO arresting CNN reporters while they are live on the air has got to be some of the dumbest 'ish I've ever seen. None of the reporters were being violent in any way, they were literally just doing their job....to say nothing of the fact that the visual of them arresting a black guy live on national television given the circumstances is completely tone deaf.

Whatever you think of CNN is fine....but LEO in that situation were complete and utter morons. So much so the Govenor is now expected to make a public apology.

Seriously....how hard is it really to find competent people that are authorized to carry around a badge and a gun?

I agree. That's a very likely scenario. Good point.

Does Trump really need to Tweet something with a saying from the civil rights era that glorifies violence? I mean, what purpose can that possibly serve?

Might want to check the law on dispersal orders during a riot

Is there more to the story ? There little press cards don’t give them special rights to ignore an order .

I see that as just another example of trump hearing someone say it and he attempts to regurgitate without understanding what it means. He seems to get lots of different ideas mixed up in his head when he tries to communicate. Someone should fact check before he tweets

Give me a break. For real? Officers exercise discretion all the time, yet they decided to arrest a black guy live on the air along with his TV crew and producer? They are morons. They didn't have to do that. It was so stupid the Governor is going to make a public apology.

Rioters that throw stuff at the cops and set fires and show any kind of resistance aren't arrested by LEO, but the press crew just doing their jobs are arrested live on TV. What a wonderful system.

This is at least plausible. Some questions I'd have;

Even if not "directly" linked could the sustained knee hold and ignoring of statements of respiratory distress still be considered contributory?
Even if medically there isn't a particularly good tie to the death wouldn't there still be room for gross procedural misconduct? (it's my understanding there's already been a statement made that how the arrest was handled was not within established guidelines)

Of course, it's possible that anything short of manslaughter would be insufficient to appease those looking for a reason.
