Fair enough rjd. That last video you posted shows a little more and looks worse. I’ve just gotten to where I generally don’t trust these videos because there have been so many videos taken out of context and used to spin a narrative. I generally try not to name call on here but I do get my smartass on for sure. While you and I clearly disagreed on this issue it seems we’ve been able to talk through it to a point where we at least understand each other and we generally agree on the matter. You’re just a little more trusting the video is showing everything and I’m less certain of that but you’re correct that there’s no direct evidence that the police did exactly what they said.

The one back on page 38 started a little after the last one rjd posted. Either that or I got distracted the first 30 seconds or so but I don’t recall that happening.

Edit: I was right. They started at different points and look different as such just like the one you posted stopped earlier than the one back on page 38 and thus looked different.

Don’t know what the autopsy will show but I do know for sure that the guy appeared to be breathing normally before he got put on the ground with a knee on his neck for 10 minutes. I ain’t a doctor or Sherlock Holmes but I’m betting he’d still be alive if the cop had just kept him upright. The vast majority of cops are good, well-meaning people. I blame this one on one really bad cop and three that didn’t have the nards to pull him off. They just went right along with it and they are as culpable as Chauvin. It’s on video. If Chauvin didn’t kill him outright, he exacerbated a condition that killed him. Either way, he’s going to jail.

By the way, the one I posted was for someone who wanted to see it, and the CNN link didn't work, I got insulted for that too, so I posted the first one on YouTube I saw. I didn't check to see where it ended, and wasn't trying to spin it at all.

Close. He did call for the racial injustices to stop and end the police brutality against minorities. Basically a repeat of "they gon' put y'all back in chains!" speech.

Not one word about the violence, rioting, looting or destruction of property. Not one f'n thing about it.

Edit: I almost forgot, he blamed the Trump administration for what the officer did.

I was awake and watching the whole thing. The cops showed up in force just before sunrise and as the crowd was really thinning with the purpose of creating a safe area within which the firefighters could put out the fire at the precinct building. A few diehards were still out there throwing stuff at the police and kind of taunting them as a bullfighter does to a bull. The CNN reporter and his crew, which included a white dude, were in the safe corridor and did not skedaddle quickly enough. The other CNN reporter was not in the same location, although not very far away.

Nobody is going to admit it but my guess is that someone up the chain of command surmised that the last of the diehard protesters were only still out there because the cameras were there and told the rank and file to get the cameras out of the firefighting zone by whatever means necessary. Hence, the arresting officer telling the reporter that he was just following orders.

Also, since there has been an arrest I trust that we won't see any more rioting when the lights go down.
