Don’t listen to rjd. The reason for the arrest is in the video, well the one back on page 38 anyway, not the one valley girl posted from YouTube. That one conveniently cuts off.
Now that video started a little earlier than the other one I saw posted. If there literally was zero interaction with the police before what was shown then I agree it doesn’t look good and it’s possible the police are long to save face. There are still more questions though and I’m sure you know that 90% or more of problems come down to communication. I agree that this video you just posted doesn’t look good but, as you agreed earlier, CNN can’t always be trusted. What if before the video they were told not to be there and then the crew goes right where they were told not to go? I’m not saying that happened. I’m just saying we don’t know and you and I have both seen a lot of instance where the full story isn’t shown by a short video. That’s all. If all is as it appears in this video then I agree the cops in this video acted stupidly.
Fair enough rjd. That last video you posted shows a little more and looks worse. I’ve just gotten to where I generally don’t trust these videos because there have been so many videos taken out of context and used to spin a narrative. I generally try not to name call on here but I do get my smartass on for sure. While you and I clearly disagreed on this issue it seems we’ve been able to talk through it to a point where we at least understand each other and we generally agree on the matter. You’re just a little more trusting the video is showing everything and I’m less certain of that but you’re correct that there’s no direct evidence that the police did exactly what they said.I get it...I really do. But it seems the longer the clip is in the beginning or at the end, it paints a progressively worse picture of the officers and how they reacted. Combine that with statements released after the fact....the fact that the crew was released within an hour, and the public apologies of literally the entire chain of command...and it's about as clear as it can get as to what happened. And not for nothing, but you are like the third person I've had this debate with in this thread, and even some still think CNN staged the whole thing or instigated it. I've been called a liberal, dumb, etc....and I don't even like CNN! It makes no sense...but what happened here is about as clear as it gets and there really is no objective argument that can be made otherwise. The only arguments seem to be "what if" and "I bet this happened".
The one back on page 38 started a little after the last one rjd posted. Either that or I got distracted the first 30 seconds or so but I don’t recall that happening.Really? Both your comments are about the same video.
Don’t know what the autopsy will show but I do know for sure that the guy appeared to be breathing normally before he got put on the ground with a knee on his neck for 10 minutes. I ain’t a doctor or Sherlock Holmes but I’m betting he’d still be alive if the cop had just kept him upright. The vast majority of cops are good, well-meaning people. I blame this one on one really bad cop and three that didn’t have the nards to pull him off. They just went right along with it and they are as culpable as Chauvin. It’s on video. If Chauvin didn’t kill him outright, he exacerbated a condition that killed him. Either way, he’s going to jail.Honestly, I hope for the police officer's sake, he didn't actually kill him. I still think he is a POS for ignoring Floyd's pleas for help.
We'll see what happens with the independent autopsy and if any additional charges are brought.
Oh, well good. The one back on page 38 started a little after the last one rjd posted. Either that or I got distracted the first 30 seconds or so but I don’t recall that happening.
Edit: I was right. They started at different points and look different as such just like the one you posted stopped earlier than the one back on page 38 and thus looked different.
By the way, the one I posted was for someone who wanted to see it, and the CNN link didn't work, I got insulted for that too, so I posted the first one on YouTube I saw. I didn't check to see where it ended, and wasn't trying to spin it at all.The one back on page 38 started a little after the last one rjd posted. Let me guess ol' lyin' biden told a tale that he was able to quiet the '68 Chicago riots when they shot Rodney Martin Luther King.
