A 19-year-old substitute teacher at a North Carolina middle school has been accused of sending sexually explicit photos and videos to her 13- and 14-year-old male students.

Emily Durden, from Shelby, was arrested last Thursday and booked into the Cleveland County jail on two counts each of indecent liberties with a student and second-degree sexual exploitation of a minor, and three counts of display of material harmful to a minor.

Durden, who previously worked as a substitute teacher at Crest Middle School, was released the next day after posting $50,000 secure bond.

Under the conditions of her release, the 19-year-old must stay away from the school and make no contact with the victims.

CIA Covered Up Staff Sex Crimes Committed Against Minors

The Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) was aware that at least 10 members of its staff allegedly committed sex crimes against children, though only one employee was ever prosecuted, according to released documents first reported by BuzzFeed News.

One CIA employee had “inappropriate sexual activity with an unidentified two-year-old girl” and confessed to having sexual relations with a six-year-old, according to internal CIA reports dating from 2004 to 2019 accessed by BuzzFeed through Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) requests. The employee was fired but never charged.

Another employee allegedly bought pornographic films depicting young girls, while another claimed to have viewed thousands of sexually explicit images of children, according to the documents. These employees also were not charged with any crimes.

Many of the cases were referred to federal attorneys, who sent all but one case back to the CIA to deal with the matter internally rather than prosecute the employees, BuzzFeed reported. Accused child killer arrested in murder of Alabama girl, 5, was previously charged with lowering boy, 3, into pot of Boiling Water

An Alabama man with a lengthy history of child abuse charges is now accused of murdering a 5-year-old girl.

Jeremy Tremaine Williams, 37, was arrested Monday and charged Tuesday with capital murder in connection with the death of Kamarie Holland, 5. He faces the death penalty if convicted.

Police said she died by asphyxiation and showed signs of sexual assault. They are not ruling out more charges against Williams.

Williams was also a suspect in the murder of a one-year-old boy in Alabama and was accused of lowering a three-year-old boy into a bowl of boiling water in 2009.

But the company now says the tool will not also notify the child's parents about explicit images. The decision has been met with mixed response from child safety and privacy advocates.

“They should have kept parental notifications for kids under 13. There’s no reason we should ask an 11-year-old to keep herself safe online," the Wall Street Journal quoted Stephen Balkam, chief executive officer of the nonprofit Family Online Safety Institute, as saying in a published report.

The new feature, which is expected to roll out this month in iOS 15.2, is in response to an increase in sexually explicit activity among pre-teens using mobile devices.

Two sets of twins Kyson and Bryson, aged four, and Leyton and Logan, aged three, were pulled from an 'intense' blaze at a house on Collingwood Road in Sutton at around 7pm on Thursday.

MailOnline revealed the young children were alone in the house with no adults present when the fire service arrived.

More than 60 firefighters raced to the scene and medics performed CPR on the boys outside the property before they were rushed to hospital, where they were pronounced dead from smoke inhalation.

An 'angry' mob was said to have jeered at the boys' mother Deveca Rose when she arrived at the house, where her sons' were being given CPR, according to The Sun.
