Nothing like admitting to a possible recruiting violation on a public message board.
Yes, I know it happens all the time, but that does not excuse it.
Listen, we're friends on twitter. We have just chatted in general but I did ask him a few questions on whether he still had visits left. Nothing to get him a recruiting violation. No different than everybody else that's friends with him on twitter.
Even his own teammates. Nothing to talk about here. Moving on. I did tell him regardless of where he ends up going I will be following his career. He's a really nice guys & seems like a kid with excellent character.
Besides guys, he starting "Following " me & not the opposite on twitter anyhow. He contacted me first but there's nothing to worry about guys. I can guarantee you all that.

I'm not condoning fans messaging recruits. I think it's generally a bad idea. But...
Can someone give a real world example of the NCAA handing out a recruiting violation for a fan interacting with a recruit on Twitter? How about an example of a school self-reporting a violation?
This happens hundreds/thousands of times a day and it's impossible to police. While it might be technically against NCAA guidelines, if there's no precedent for enforcement, then it really isn't a violation.
I'd day say either Litaker or Cam Jones. I've made friends with Cam Jones on twitter. He has actually been answering questions that I've been asking him. He loves UT but is committed to Indiana right now.
Looking for a de-commitment from him though & coming to UT but this might not be yet. Could be him but if not I'd have to go with Litaker or Brendon Harris. Greg Emerson is another possibility as well. Thanks.
I'm not reaching at all. Just going by the letter of the rules as written. If you've donated money to a university, you are a booster by definition. Fans are also lumped into the discussion on the issue of contacting recruits. Check any schools compliance page for confirmation.
And did you read my other posts above? Of course it's not enforceable. It would be impossible to police.
