You just aren’t looking at this rationally and reasonably. We all should be more like Luther. He understands that on the issue of Schools and local PDs investigating potential threats to possibly prevent acts of violence, there is no good solution.Ya think? But didn't you just warn us
What am I wishing for? A competent admin response when there's a direct threat of violence to a school? How is that so dangerous?
I agree but we put quite a bit of faith in our Drs. We all don't have medical degrees. For the most part Americans are stupid. Most people do what the Dr tells them to do without question. Drs make bank on prescriptions they write. That should be illegal, imo.Maybe but how many Drs were held accountable for the OxiC epidemic? Parents are responsible for what they put in their kids mouth.

I don’t disagree with you on holding parents responsible for being irresponsible. What I’m trying to figure out is where you (LG) draws the line.
So far per your own posts the parents are only responsible if their kid uses one of their guns to commit mass murder and not responsible if the kid uses something else in the house. Is that your position?
easily attainable? it is more difficult than ever to get guns, but school shootings have gone up.Which circles me back to my first point. Fighting guns with more guns is an absurd solution. We wouldn’t need them in the first place if they weren’t so easily attainable. No need to save the children from something that isn’t there. Politicians and the NRA have you all brainwashed. The propaganda machine is doing its job and filling their pockets with billions while our children die. But hey enjoy your guns!

I am 35, but I remember there being a couple people who would have their hunting rifles slung up in their truck. and I was at a small private school in Chattanooga. Willing to bet there used to be dozens of rifles at this high school, and none today.
access isn't the issue. culture and parenting is.
@lawgator1 in case you missed this. I'd really like to hear your thoughts.

Busy day but will make it a point to return to this tonight, especially as it does seem that there is at least a general consensus that if the parents are the source of the gun then in this case there needs to be some accountability.
A friend and I once did a report on the progress of weapons. We had archery, black powder and modern firearms represented. Assistant principal (who knew us well) looked us over and asked where we were going and if the guns were loaded. We said we hadn't even brought ammo. He gave us another look over and kept walking. (We got an A btw)easily attainable? it is more difficult than ever to get guns, but school shootings have gone up.
