Grant may be playing us for more Bama money but he would be a solid hire if we got him, not a home run IMO, but a solid hire. I'd to have Lawrence but that may not be a viable option if he wants to stay with the Celtics through the playoffs.

Frank is an NBA coach. Different skill set than for a college coach. He would have to recruit well in the Atlanta area and the south. Would Frank excel at that? I doubt it.

Yeah, it would be so tough for a former NBA head coach to recruit 18 year old kids that want to get to the NBA..

Dude you do realize who the Nets had back then:

PG- Jason Kidd
SG- Vince Carter (second half of his tenure)
SF- Richard Jefferson
PF- Kenyon Martin

The Nets would have won a ring had they not had their run during the Lakers-Spurs eras.

Im sure we all want Lawrence Frank the most, but who said he wants to come to Tennessee? Until I see a breaking news ticker that says its a done deal, I don't believe anything

They did have Jason Kidd, Vince Carter, and Richard Jefferson on most of those teams. I don't think any of those players have won championships but those teams SHOULD have easily made it to the Conference semi-finals which they did.

I don't think Frank is a legitimate option. JMO.

Grant is on my list, but lower than others. Wouldn't be angry if we got him, but still think we can do better.

And that would be BS.

The only reason Grant would make overtures to another program is to get a raise. He will still be Alabama's coach next season.

But they had Jason Kidd, Hubert Davis and Kenyon Martin on their team then. Now all they have is Deron Williams, and when they sucked they only had Devin Harris.

Guarantee you he wold deny that, thought about reminding him on twitter. Someone brought up his Mushamp prediction when he said he was finalizing deal to UT and basilio denies writing that. He wrote it. He also says he has called Pearl being gone for months. Not true. He also acted like someone had died Monday and then talked about it being the right thing on Tuesday and was ripping Pearl after the Gribble report. Never know. Vince Ferrara is my new fav Knox sportstalk personality. You know who else has been a voice of reason in this? Dearstone. Dearstone has been very fair and logical for last couple of weeks IMO.

It's amazing to me that someone actually believes firing your AD in the middle of a coaching search would be a smart move.

hubbs posted that "grant has major concerns about who's in charge and who's going to be in charge at Tennessee". although that could mean cheek, the president, hamilton, or just a question about who would be truely in charge, it wouldn't be a stretch to assume his concern would be about the guy he would directly answer to, the ad.
