He slides and you've got 3 dead eye shooters on the floor if one isn't hitting..
Give me 4 deep in shooters any day.

So let me get this straight. Our starting lineup will have 3 former 5* recruits and 2 former 4*. Depth might be an issue, but should have the best starting 5 in the SEC. Even with Kentucky's crazy class

I've always liked the grad transfer rule and disagreed with CCM when that article was posted. Not every student-athlete who uses it will be making the move primarily for their sport. And, for the ones who do, they have to graduate to earn their "free agency." That is, they have to actually be a "student-athlete" and not just a basketball player. Barton earned this opportunity.

Oh I agree especially in the league we play in. I want to be able to run the floor and we are getting the athletes to do so. IF we land Johnson I like our line up this year and next.

I doubt we get both, but it would be nice to have two guys experienced in up tempo.
Maybe CM is really trying to evolve.

Yeah I doubt it also. I would say maybe we will get some info from VQ but after this I highly doubt it.

My gut was telling me he was coming here, but I convinced myself he was going to Maryland. Obviously a great pickup, props for sealing the deal in a very short amount of time.

This is huge for a few different reasons, but one that I'm really happy about is that we won't have to overplay Thompson. I think Darius being behind Antonio is going to benefit him as they are similar guards, so Barton can maybe take Thompson under his wing.

Now, we really need a PG and some posts for the future. Martin ABSOLUTELY has to be able to effectively recruit for the positions we really need. If he continues to struggle with this, he will have a tough time sustaining any success he may have.

If we can get him then we can sure use him. Nothing wrong with having a lot of pure shooters. We could have used either one last year. GBO

Good news but Golden was still better...

Looks like Barton regressed every season as his minutes shrunk year after year.

It's better than what we have but not better than what we had.

None the less... beggars can't be choosers so I'm happy.
