Possibly changes the complexion of the season.
Barton might cost us a little offensively (that is offset thanks to Maymon), but we get an even better 3 point shooter. That helps spread the offense for Stokes/Maymon. You can't double team Stokes/Maymon with Hubbs/McRae/Barton on the floor.
Also, Barton is very aggressive on defense. Our defensive has struggled because we just could not put pressure on the point guard. Barton can do that. It's going to help our D even more.
My D needs all the help it can get...Possibly changes the complexion of the season.

Great pickup. Hope this puts us back in everyone's top 25. Preseason polls are meaningless, unless you haven't been included in one in a while...
First off, he said he has one class to finish up in June in order to graduate, so he expects to be here and enroll in summer school in July.
As for picking Tennessee today, he not surprisingly pointed to the fact that he feels like the Vols have a team that is set up to win immediately but have a real obvious need at point guard. He added that one of the biggest things that influenced him was Tennessee's players, citing numerous texts from McRae and Maymon among others, urging him to team up with them in Knoxville for a year.
As for picking Tennessee over Maryland, Texas A&M and Syracuse despite the fact that he didn't make an official visit to Knoxville, Barton said he trusted his instincts and trusted the vibe he had gotten from Counzo Martin. He added that Martin visited with his mother and made a big impression on her to the point that she was very comfortable with the situation in Knoxville. Barton also said that having played against Tennessee three times in the past two seasons helped give him an idea of what playing for Martin would have been like, stating that it was easy to see that Martin valued hard-nosed, tough players, which Barton definitely considers himself to be.
We'll get Barton's best yet.
Wants to follow Will into the NBA.
His past coaches say we haven't seen his full potential.
What is their board?
