Good news but Golden was still better...

Looks like Barton regressed every season as his minutes shrunk year after year.

It's better than what we have but not better than what we had.

None the less... beggars can't be choosers so I'm happy.

I have no idea if he's better. I think our team can be better than it would have been with Trae. Remains to be seen but Trae was dreadful at times.

We have enough weapons that we just need a consistent player who can handle the ball. This guy can shoot the 3 a little too.

But I agree. I'm thinking top 4 finish (2nd or 3rd probably), and sweet 16 potential. You can never put your money on the Vols in the SECt. Last championship was '79, I believe. Good grief.

Indeed, but we got a lot of talent this year. I'm fully expecting UK to win it, but the top SEC teams are gonna be GOOD.

So let me get this straight. Our starting lineup will have 3 former 5* recruits and 2 former 4*. Depth might be an issue, but should have the best starting 5 in the SEC. Even with Kentucky's crazy class

Do you even know why his minutes regressed? Joe Jackson has gotten better and they recruited Gerron Johnson, who is a freak athlete. I am not saying that Barton is great, but he brings different qualities than Golden. Ones that this team needs. He can hit a 3, handle the ball, and defend better than Golden. Plain and simple.

2 five stars, 2 four stars, and a three star. Barton was a 3 star out of high school. His brother was a 5 star. Nonetheless, it is a very good lineup and one that UT fans should be excited about.
