Rushing for 300 against S Alabama is one thing, but rushing for 300 against UGA will be an accomplishment.

I loved Antonio Richardson's fire @ game's end today. He was showing passion.....just needs to redirect it to what happens during the plays. As a leader, if he wants to get in his QB's face.....or any other teammate's, for that matter, do it on the sideline in a sea of orange jerseys. He should NEVER blow off a coach, the head man, at that.....especially not in public. IMO he needs to get in his fellow linemans' faces and fire THEM up. Yes we rushed for 300 or so yards vs. South Alabama. Big deal. Produce in big games.....just once! The o-line is in denial if they think today 's rushing totals validate their greatness. Our QB play sucks, but maybe if our big uglies got a nasty streak during plays, it MIGHT help Worley. NFL scouts recognize that , yes Tiny, our o-line sucks and/or is overrated. Don't like it? PRODUCE vs. Georgia.....or shut your mouth!

Yes. the vol nation opinions do matter and many are horrendous, uninformed, and completely knee-jerk reactions. I support our team and you should too by applying some basic tact in your anonymous blurbs

Just because we won doesn't mean there isn't room for criticism. If my son gets a D on a test I'm not going to pat him on the back and say "at least it wasn't an F ".

True, but it isn't good when your players are bragging about beating up the little kid on the playground. The OL should be proud of how they played today and hope they carry it over next week.

I think bragging and responding to criticism are two different things. I understood his comment to be the latter.

Let me interpret for you. It should be "easy" for an O line with no less than 3 pre season All SEC picks to roll over a Sunbelt conference D Line. Did you understand that?

You're not really that ignorant are you? I hope you're either drunk or being sarcastic.

And they did. Although I can remember quite a few Tennessee teams who were unable to run the ball effectively against inferior opponents.

Need to read the other posts. I made the comment it should be easy for TN to roll over WKU, AP and USA but lets see them do it against the big boys of the SEC

You saved this pos wisdom for your first post? Don't bother posting again unless you can make a sensible statement.

Last year they did it against some SEC teams including Georgia when they also had some decent skill players around them. INCLUDING A QB WHO WAS NOT..........CRAPPY.

Or some fans booing today

Can you really blame the frustration of our fans though? I understand that we always need to support our players and I respect and love any player at our great and proud program. It's just tough to stay positive all the time and not be disappointed with our team today. If we took 2 steps forward last week we took 5 leaps back today.

I cringe about this kind of stuff, but VOLS aren't the only ones with fans who criticize their team during close wins with unranked opponents.

The offensive line or the zone read weren't our issue today. We rushed for 278 yards an pd averaged 7.5 yards per carry.

We had almost 500 yards of total offense. So, we moved the ball.

Turnovers were critical.

Defense is better than last year, but still not where it needs to be.

The sad thing is that the team looked good through the first drive of the third quarter. They just didn't finish, but their QB didn't help them out either.

True, True--but we couldn't RUN when it mattered most! And, we couldn't run the ball into the endzone and gave up a 2 yd loss on first and goal from the 2 yd line (end of first half)....Our coaches abandoned the run and Worley threw another INT...I simply don't understand that type of mindset against USA...

There's no excuse for not lining up with this OL and running 4 straight running plays from the 2yd line and scoring...And if it takes 4 plays against USA to score from the 2 yd line--they're not very good.

And that's the DAM.. truth--like it or not. :salute:

GO VOLS!

YEP--I seem to remember most of the ugliness of the loss to Memphis when we had a QB named Manning, a MLB named Wilson, and a OC named Cutcliffe.....:salute:
