Rushing for 300 against S Alabama is one thing, but rushing for 300 against UGA will be an accomplishment.

True, but that's kind of like saying rushing for 300 against S Alabama is better than rushing for 100 against S Alabama.

South Alabama isn't that bad of a team though. They have a few Bama transfers. We just needed to keep our boot on their neck until the game was in hand.

All the people saying how proud they are at Tiny's conduct at the end of the game were probably the same ones that thought Bray's throat slashing and asinine bull **** weren't also signs of a bigger problem. How did that turn out for us?

This. We were fine and on our way to ballin' them up until Worley had a helmet fire and came unglued at the seams. His mistakes started to pile up and our D got left on the field, again, too long. Proud of them for making a stand when it counted in the end.

Regardless, it's who we played today and the run game performed well.

Sorry, have to disagree. No disrespect but maybe you could say that in the first half, but in the second half, with all the three and outs and numerous times our Rbs got tackled in our own backfield, there wasn't any running game.

The offensive line or the zone read weren't our issue today. We rushed for 278 yards an pd averaged 7.5 yards per carry.

Don't confuse these knuckle heads with the facts. They know our O line can't run block and our play calling stinks.

Thank god someone saw the same game I did. From some of these posts I thought I watched the wrong game :)

So you're ready to explain the second half abortion, in which the playcalling and the run game utterly sucked? Regale me.

You can always pinpoint a few plays where we could have done better. We averaged 7.5 yards on the afternoon and tallied 278 yards. That's not bad. And our second half numbers fell off, but I wouldn't classify it as horrible. We had two negative plays, which we have to avoid and I'm sure Butch will address.

Here are our second half runs:
22
13
12
1
11
1
2
3
-3
16
-1
2
4
5
3

The six runs less than three yards should be a concern, but as a half, I don't consider 89 yards on 15 carries for a 5.93 a failure. I'd like to see better, certainly, especially with the game on the line.

I do see your point and it comes down to those three series in the second half where we had runs of (1,2) (3,-3) and (16,-1,2) that should not happen against an opponent of this caliber.

Just a guess, but I think what may have gotten under some of the player's skin was that our fans were booing them today.

Now, I do feel that we should have made a more pronounced impact on Offense today, but I don't think the way to show it is to boo our own team. Maybe a better way is to post questions to the Sports Talk and/or other call-in shows, but not to outright boo the team.

Man, if I were a player I would not read this board. Maybe once, but wouldn't come back...

@Antonio_Tiny74: "Hey O line y'all rushed for 300 yds but y'all suck" lol. It's great to be a vol man.

To those who say players/recruits don't read these boards you're dead wrong.

We need to support our players. Not slam them at every turn.

Worly sucks! And tiny may be back next year based on the way he's been playing.

I loved Antonio Richardson's fire @ game's end today. He was showing passion.....just needs to redirect it to what happens during the plays. As a leader, if he wants to get in his QB's face.....or any other teammate's, for that matter, do it on the sideline in a sea of orange jerseys. He should NEVER blow off a coach, the head man, at that.....especially not in public. IMO he needs to get in his fellow linemans' faces and fire THEM up. Yes we rushed for 300 or so yards vs. South Alabama. Big deal. Produce in big games.....just once! The o-line is in denial if they think today 's rushing totals validate their greatness. Our QB play sucks, but maybe if our big uglies got a nasty streak during plays, it MIGHT help Worley. NFL scouts recognize that , yes Tiny, our o-line sucks and/or is overrated. Don't like it? PRODUCE vs. Georgia.....or shut your mouth!

What an utterly ridiculous post. I feel bad even quoting it. Started out alright, then went south quick.

Yes, they did a decent job today in places and got some yardage (both on the ground and in the air), but every team we've played has consistently gotten pressure on our QB and busted up plays in our backfield. Also, when it comes to nut cuttin' time -- when we need to get that 2-3 yards and we know it, the other team knows it, and everyone watching knows it -- we've never been able to get it.

And we barely beat a Sunbelt team that was in it's 4th or 5th yr of Div 1 football.

With all that being said, if Tiny can feel good about the overall body of work....well, that just might explain some of our offensive issues....because the overall body of work is nothing to be bragging about.

As a whole, we gained almost 100 yards in the second half. That isn't too shabby...in fact it's impressive given the abysmal play calling. I don't understand the o-line hate. There is legit talent across the board. It has to be coaching or the system that is hamstringing them.

Worley plays like a bipolar person. Half the time he's on the money and making good throws, the rest of the time I am convinced he can't hit the broad side of a damn barn.

Maybe we luck out next week and he plays like the first personality for 4 quarters against Georgia

Yet you replied. Bet the o-line is great in your eyes, right? If you don't like my posts....don't quote em. At least SOME of mine made sense. Do not bother replying.....it's called the ignore button. I advise you to use it. Have a nice life!

Is it possible that this is in reference to the USA player who was talking smack to him? And it is, in fact, good to be a Vol rather than a Jag?

I haven't been on this board for too long, but I know enough that this being your second post won't help you make many friends.
