Anxiety mounting

This team reminds me so much of the 2019 LSU team. A high flying offense that no team can stop, and an improving defense towards the end of the season.

I am as relaxed as I have ever been going into a big game.

I feel pretty confident, the first quarter will be close and then TN runs off and leaves them in the ashes. Kirby leaves the field sobbing.

A part of us died during the Kiffin, Dooley, Jones and Pruitt years. We were just going through the motions hoping for a miracle. Heupel has resurrected this fanbase from depths none of us could have ever imagined. Itā€™s great having a new appreciation for our beloved Vols and enjoying every moment. Itā€™s been glorious.
You know me, Iā€™m typically a nervous wreck before games.
This week...

Has anyone been this anxious before a game? I am 31 years old and have followed the Vols since the Peyton Manning days, watching games with my dad. I have been a faithful fan throughout my life and canā€™t recall being so excited/ anxious for a game. Itā€™s getting hard to concentrate at work without checking whatā€™s happening on ESPN or other media outlets talking about the Vols! Is anyone else feeling like this? GBO

I am uncharacteristically calm before this game. I can't put my finger on why. The game is an absolutely huge opportunity for our program. A win means that our rebuild will go quicker with uber recruiting, also will likely get Hendon the Heisman and us in the playoffs. With that much on the line, I'd have thought I would be very nervous. But I'm the opposite. I guess I'm confident Heupel will lead us back to the promised land sooner or later no matter how tomorrow goes. Or maybe I'm very confident about tomorrow. Or both.

I am anxious I guess. I woke up Tuesday morning @5am and thought, oh hell tn plays ga today I got to get up and get ready. Took me a few minutes to realize it was Tuesday. I havenā€™t let anyone talk to me about if, ands and buts this week. Every time someone has wanted to talk about it I have said ā€œI am not saying anythingā€. Ps. I called the Bama game but only to one person. I wont even talk to him about this game.

Normally I'm nervous on the Friday before the game. But not today. I feel strangely confident about this one.
I wouldnā€™t say I confident what weā€™ll win.

But I am confident that:
-Coaches have a game plan that will test UGA on both sides of the ball.
-Players are focused and confident and capable of executing that game plan
-UGA will be made to fight for every inch for 60min
-This is not the same Tennessee that people have known for the last two decades.

Soā€¦.May the better team win.

I getting more and more confident. I forgot Tillman had 10 catches for 200 yards on Georgia last year against a much better Georgia defense. I'm starting to feel like this is our game
And now we have a more dangerous receiver to go along with him, also their's Bru McCoy who is a 3rd down conversion machine.

Hendon will throw for over 400 yards tomorrow

I am a little. Been along long time since we were in this position. But either way just give an honest effort.

Anyone that doesn't think we can lose this game is just living in the fanatic part of fan. We absolutely, positively are capable of beating GA in their house. I wouldn't even be all that surprised if we did

It's driving our rivals nuts that we could even be in this position. I doubt there's a single GA fan coming into the season that was "nervous" about TN coming to Athens and beating them. Whether they are willing to admit it or not there's a whole lot of them nervous now. Welcome back to the big time UT.

AMEN!!!

For me it will be just like Bama. I wasnā€™t nervous in that game until just before we kicked the final field goal. I had this game marked as a sure loss prior to the season, so until we are winning or tied in the 4th quarter, no anxiety for me.

Nope because at the end of the day the most likely scenario is 11-1 if we lose and any Vol fan should be proud of that accomplishment in Year 2. I want the win, but itā€™s been an amazing year.
