Anxiety mounting

Has anyone been this anxious before a game? I am 31 years old and have followed the Vols since the Peyton Manning days, watching games with my dad. I have been a faithful fan throughout my life and can’t recall being so excited/ anxious for a game. It’s getting hard to concentrate at work without checking what’s happening on ESPN or other media outlets talking about the Vols! Is anyone else feeling like this? GBO
I'm your basic negavol with TDS but I have had 8 therapy sessions this year and I'm doing a little better. 2 decades of disappointments take a toll on a guy. You don"t just snap back in one game!

Feel the same as I did the week of the Alabama game: calm, not the slightest bit nervous, excited about the game, impatiently glancing at the calendar wondering why the heck it isn't Saturday yet.

I'm more anxious on the players and coaches behalf than I ever remember being. They've worked so hard and been through so much I want it for them.

No worries mate. In my best Joe Namath voice “ we’re going to win the game, I guarantee it” !!!!!!

It’s weird but I really don’t. I don’t think think I’ve ever had more of a “playing with House money” feeling going into a big game.
Same. This entire season has almost been played with house money. Totally unexpected by this old Vol fan. Never in my wildest dreams did I ever consider this type of season in year 2. I actually had resigned myself to never seeing UT at this level again in my lifetime. Incredible season.

Remember when Kiffy was on the sidelines with Bama, and he went crazy just before a snap because he could tell by our coverage it was gonna be a TD? I have that feeling now with our guys. It's just the excitement of watching someone now that knows what they doing. I'm anxious now at the thought of puttin' up fitty on anyone we play !

I'm not, I'm comfortable even if we lose. We're playing with house money. Going 11-1 after the crap we've gone through is fine. I feel we've over achieved.
Lol I agree !! But what are we gunna do in 4th quarter and we need to stop them to win ,or score to win.?? LMAO. I'm gunna come un latched!!! :) :) GBO Make to bullpups squat to pee . Go Vols

2020 and 2021 were the only seasons I wasn’t a wreck before games. The combination of years of ineptitude, my father becoming seriously ill, and my wife leaving me in early ‘21 left me not caring at all….about a lot of things. But I’m back this year! Senseless worrying, inability to watch games, placing emphasis on a game that I have no bearing on have all returned. Really idiotic……and I do need help…….but I LOVE it! 😃

I'm literally not stressed at all. After what happened in the Alabama game with the fumble td and the interception and the team didn't give up I'm all in. This team fights for each other and they 100% believe they are gna win every game. VOLS BY FIDDY

Not worried at all. I believe we’re gonna win, but if we do stumble we’ll likely go 11-1 and I can’t be mad at that. It’s been a great season regardless of this upcoming game.

I’m good. Bama week I was anxious. I knew we had our best shot to beat them than we’d had in 15 years but just didn’t know if we could. This team has far exceeded expectations. Don’t get me wrong, I want to win bad but I’m good

I have had pre-game jitters since right after we spanked Kentucky. I want this win so bad for our team, our coach, our program and of course all of us fans. But if we don't win, I am not going to moan and cry and get all upset. The Vols are the greatest team in the universe, win or lose.

Living in Georgia, I can't put into words how much I want this win. That said, I'm not as nervous as usual. Not saying we win, just honestly feel we have a chance.

I’m fully calm. I have so much trust in our offense that we will score every time that we either score enough to hold any lead and also believe fully they can come back from any deficit.
