Not quite as impressive when you consider that half those yards came on 2-3 carries in the second half when we were playing Cover 3 and 4 and sitting on a fat lead.

So, the truth finally comes out. Some of you (but not all) have no respect for Cal or the Pac 10. Well aside from Cal and USC, I understand. Tell me, how can you be so sure you will beat us? Are you psychic?

And the one gentleman said it well, Lynch got most of his yards against the first string, not your third string. By the time the second and third string came in we were passing, if you recall. Now, since we have stooped to a new low tonight I might as well join in, CAL IS GOING TO KICK THE VOLS ASS!

You don't need to be clairvoyant to detect a noticeable trend of Cal wetting the bed against quality opponents. You guys may beat the crap out of us, but until I see it happen, there isn't really any evidence to support it.

I think you misunderstand the position of most of the posters here. I would think almost all have respect for USC.

As for the confidence represented on these boards, I think most of it stems from the domination seen in last year's game and the knowledge that 1) this year's UT team could be better, and 2) this year's Cal team will be worse.

On a side note, I find it odd that you would brag about your star tailback only having 12 carries as your team found itself behind by five touchdowns. Normally in football this would not be considered a good thing.

I have NO respect for the PAthetiC 10. They suck. We are going to physically beat the hell out of you, AGAIN. You made our average '06 D look great. You gave us brief hope that Montario Hardesty would be more than a spot contributer that he is. Lynch was the only player you have/had. You have no basis for argument. Your passing game blows when facing good opponents. We will certainly recruit NCal better after they, first hand, see the beat down we give you. Hell, the whole Concord De La Salle team will want to come to UT after they see how the South does it. They could probably beat Cal.

If by kicking the Vols ass you mean coming in very overrated and the darling of Lee Corso, I'm sure Cal will. :) Last year is last year and I'm sure that once the Vols have won in Berkley you won't post here again.:mf_surrender: I guess at that point we'll have your conference brethren from UCLA invade our board talking the same PAC 10 propaganda.:snoring:

What is the Holiday Bowl like? What is it like not ever going to a BCS bowl? It must suck to be a cal fan.Right?

Lynch is a good player, if he got some more carries, he would cause more damage. It also revealed the our weak running defense last year, just as what we saw in rest of the season. I think this year's game will be a much closer one, Cal got something on their shoulders, UT have some rebuilding work to do, and it's hard to predict the result of the game, especially the season opener. One last thing, some folks on this board are kind of..., but you have to understand, you don't get your respect from nowhere, you got to earn it. Good luck with the game.

I won’t argue with you, being a Cal fan is tough at times. See, out here in California, athletes aren’t treated like Gods. In fact many people hate Cal football and football in general. (That is why at one time I really liked you guys, your passion for football is inspiring.) The fact that we play in California makes our rise to prominence all the more special. And in September, when we beat you, we will have truly arrived as a force to be reckoned with on the national stage.

On a side note, how can your team hope to recover after a loss to a team as pathetic and weak as Cal? I will be here to see that you are provided with the proper psychological help.
