Any Vols Coming out to California for the Cal Game?

Well said Droski. Arizona was an f-ing disaster, plain and simple. That game was one of the most disappointing Cal performances of all time, in my opinion. Not to mention (and this is not an excuse) the damn refs messed the game up. As I am sure most saw the Oklahoma v Oregon game, you know what we are dealing with in terms of refs. We seem to have the worst refs out of any BCS conference! DAMN REFS!

Hi, and Go Bears! I'm working on a "welcome the Vols" shirt, and would appreciate your feedback. I've narrowed it down to 2 designs. The first says "This ain't Rocky Top," and has a picture of the banjo guy from Deliverance wearing a Vols shirt, with an "x" through it. The second shirt says, in large letters, ‘‘You can’t spell Citrus without UT", with "Steve Spurrier" below it. It then lists the many times UT has been relegated to the Tier 3 Citrus Bowl. What do you guys think?

My question is, why are you asking us?

He was just feeling low over the humiliation we suffered last yr I suppose. So he came in here trying to rile you guys up. From the looks of it he succeeded. I would say Droski and I have tried to restore the good relations between our two countries, and I can only hoped we have succeeded.

As you are not in our conference there is no reason we must be archenemies of one another.

Those are tired, get some fresh funny ideas and I will laugh along. Every SEC hits us with the same stuff. Must be original.

You fans are brutal to one another in the SEC. Out of all fans in the SEC, which one's give you the most trouble, in terms of smack talk?

Meachem is going to make some NFL team very happy. He was a very big reason why you guys beat us. Granted, he was going up against a CB playing in his FIRST college game. Doing that in front of 107,000 screaming orange clad vols is no easy task. This yr he will be much better. He has speed comparable to Dion Sanders. Now, if he could just get the hands and vision.

You guys I believe may have some work to do at WR, no?

Just a little

We have some work considering we have no bonafide playmakers at WR during spring, but we are bringing in one of the most highly rated WR classes in NCAA history and it includes a JUCO and a prep school player. This WR corps will be way faster than last year's and we are apparently adding both a mustang package and no huddle. Add that to the fact our OL should be way better and you will get to see our best RB(which you didn't see much of last year) and this offense should be way better than last year's.

We certainly went out and recruited the right kind of players this offseason...it'll be interesting to see if talent can overcome a lack of experience. I'm hopeful it can.

Kenny O'Neal has experience at FSU and will play right away, Vinson can fly and Gerald Jones is an athletic playmaker. If Taylor and Briscoe can eliminate the drops this spring and summer, look out. Rogers has looked good in spring practice as well. It sucks to lose three good WR's but I'm excited to see how those 6 do.

Well this too is unfortunate. It seems nearly every position that was somewhat of a liability for you guys last yr, has gotten much better.

So then I will ask, and please, be honest; what area are you guys’ weak at (if any?) If you feel as if you would be revealing state secrets, and you are uncomfortable discussing it with me, I understand.

Still, what you won’t tell me here I will learn from one of your numerous media sources, which seem to exist solely to cover Vol football. I wish we had as much loyal media exposure!

The kicking game will be a big question mark. No proven fg kicker and special teams will/could hurt. But ST are always a question mark with UT.

DB's could be a question mark but UT signed two JUCOs and the best CB prospect in the nation. Also, we get one back that did not play last year due to injury.

Excellent Mr. Groves, this is wonderful news. Finally something to give us Cal faithful a little hope. We will have arguably one of the most talented receiving corps in the nation next yr. I know you don’t believe me so feel free to research the issue yourself. With that I will leave you with these unsettling images.

"California quarterback Nate Longshore and wide receiver DeSean Jackson could emerge as one of the nation's most dynamic passing combinations."

I've done nothing but praise DeSean Jackson and you say I do not believe you. Oh well.

I also remember DeSean having 1 catch for 45+ yards and then dissappearing for a half until the 2nd string was in. And Mr Hawkins got the drops everytime he went over the middle.

Tell that TE his earpads are still somewhere around the 30 yard line here at Neyland.

You do not have to talk up DeSean Jackson. Lee Corso already did that last season.
