Any Vols Coming out to California for the Cal Game?

If it is a close game, it will be a sign that we will lose to Florida, Alabama, South Carolina, Georgia, Arkansas, and may possibly drop another one.

Gameday=ND because of one person Jimmy Clausen, they have hyped him so much already, if he starts which I assume he will, Gameday will bill there.

possibly, but we all know they hate going to games that aren't on their own network. edit: That's why they rarely go to SEC land.

Do all Notre Dame home games have to be on NBC? I seem to remember the game between Ga. Tech and Notre Dame this year was on ABC.

Wasn't the USC Notre Dame game with Leinhart diving over the pile at the end on ABC as well...I might be mistakin...

You're mistaken. It was on NBC. And if the Cal game is close, that doesn't mean we will lose all of the games listed by tvolsfan. They have something to prove after being embarrassed on national TV. Remember when UGA beat us 41-14 and the next year were so confident because we had a frosh QB. How did that turn out for them?

The ND / Georgia Tech game last year was at Georgia Tech. The USC/ND game was definetly on NBC.

I don't understand this point of view. While I think we will win this game did anyone not pay attention to the way Florida won games this year? I think that alone proves it doesn't matter how you win but that you just win...

11.10.99 - Cal's original Oski recalls mascot's glory days in new Bancroft Library oral history

The official mascot of the University of California, Oski, has been a tradition at the school since making his debut on September 26, 1941 during the football season-opener against St. Mary's. Prior to his arrival, live mascots were used at Memorial Stadium with varying degrees of success. It was decided in 1940 that a costumed mascot would make a more suitable alternative to a live bear.

Named after the popular turn of the 20th century "Oski Wow-Wow" yell, the Cal mascot is selected by the Oski Committee, a governing body that oversees all aspects of caring for the lovable, 5-foot-7-inch, size 15 tennis shoe wearing Bear. Oski's identity is unknown to everyone, with the exception of the committee.

No lynch is gone. Forsett will be the starter more than likely. Montgomery and Slocum (redshirt freshman) and Best and Vareen (true freshman) will fight for the backup job. All 4 were very highly rated out of high school. Best was the northern california player of the year (clips on you tube) and Montgomery were both guys pete carroll wanted real bad. Pete went to 3 of best's high school games in person.
