Any Vols Coming out to California for the Cal Game?

What about their recievers? I know DeSean Jackson is back, but who else? I can't remember the other receiver how old he was. And they lost Mebane the DT and Desmond Bishop the MLB and both CBs. So the defense is going to overhauled correct?

Lynch decided he didn't want to play after Harrell unloaded on him in the 1st quarter. That was a painful hit to watch.

I think one of the CB's was pretty "green" last year.

The one that started the season against us was a RS freshman. The reason he did that was because the original starter (Tim Mixon) was hurt. Mixon just lost his appeal for another year of eligibility. So he is gone. That is what I was saying. Syd'quan Thompson, I think, is the RS freshman that started that game in place of Mixon.

They only lost 1 of their 2 starting CB's. Sidqaun Thompson, the CB that was beat by Meachem the day he was born, is returning. And if I'm not mistaken, Tim Mixon, the CB that Sid. Thompson replaced because of injury is returning as well. So they basically don't have a problem back there. Their DL loses 3 though.

We must have been posting at the same time. I guess I was wrong about Mixon. That is a good thing though. Their D should be in rebuilding stages next year and we should light up the scoreboard. Hopefully we blow them out, but I still see a close one.

Oh I plan to! 7 months of assault/wisdom from me! They just don't know how to act. When you get beat, you have to able to take the brunt of the jokes from the opposing fans - until you beat them.

It looks like Tennessee's embarrasing bowl history elicits more emotion that the Deliverance thing, so I'll go with that. I do appreciate your comments.
If any of you do make the trip to California, here's some advice. Don't stay at any hotels in Oakland or Berkeley. Stay in SF and take BART (subway) to the game. The subway drops you off in downtown Berkeley and it's about 3/4 of a mile to the stadium, so older folks may not want to do this. Oakland is dangerous and the town of Berkeley is kind of a pit. If you stay in SF, beware. Do not stay anywhere near City hall, unless you enjoy heroin and being mugged. Don't stay near the airport; it's too far away. Stay at Union Square or anywhere North of Union Square (near fisherman's wharf is okay). Some good hotels: Hyatt; Marriott; Hilton (a little sketchy of an area) Clift; St. Francis; Sheraton Palace. Be prepared to drop at least $200 a night on a room.
You don't want to skimp on a hotel; book now for a better rate. Enjoy your trip. Perhaps you'll learn some things from your early season loss that can help you against Florida. If you want to keep abreast of Cal football, go to California Golden Bear Football News. Once again, GO BEARS!

THe only person we lose in the secondary is hughes. We have lost of depth and talent at linebacker. The dline is the real question, though we return 2 starters.

As for receivers all the top 3 return. All played very well after tenn.

Cal is 8-8-1 (#45 overall) in bowl games and UT is 24-22 (#5 overall). But don't let facts get in the way of your awesome shirt design :good!:Aloha, Holiday and Las Vegas will be ready for the Bears when the season ends.

(Isn't Berkley supposed to be a smart school?)

no you seem to think that fans aren't allowed to think they can win the game if they lost the previous year. WE agree we can't talk smack, that doesn't mean we have to think we suck.
