Any Vols Coming out to California for the Cal Game?

Quality of life is overrated. It’s all about the quality of the education and sports programs. As Droski so aptly pointed out, we are number 1 in the directors cup.

:eek:hmy: I first come on this thread and we're are saying each others Football team suck. Then I come back on & some drunk Cal fan is saying he is gonna take over the world, now I'm on here & y'all are once again comparing academics, schools etc...

Whats next? :ermm:

there you go. the quality of the education is good at best and the sports programs are what we would consider embarrassing.

Good work, you're batting about 45%.

Okay. More national Princeton Review lists, this time academics.

Toughest to get into:
Cal Tech - #6
Stanford - #7
Pomona - #13
UC Berkeley - Unranked

"School runs like butter":
Pomona - #1
Claremont McKenna - #9
Stanford - #11
Harvey Mudd - #20
UC Berkeley - Unranked

Best overall academic experience for undergraduates:
Stanford - #2
Pomona - #11
Harvey Mudd - #18
UC Berkeley - Unranked

And now for athletics. NCAA D-I overall number of national championships:

1. UCLA (99)
2. Stanford (93)
3. USC (84)

Yep. The other three California schools in the Pac-10 are one, two, and three in overall number of national championships in all of Division I. Penn State is the last listed in the ten spot with 30 overall national championships, which means Berkeley can't possibly have any more than one third the national titles that UCLA, Stanford and USC have.

Cal has 26 national championships as recognized by the NCAA, and probably three split national championship in 1920, 1921 and 1922.

I mean athletically, at least in this comparison.

thank god I almost went postal on you. the baby bears WILL NEVER been known as the university of california. they are our children, not our equals. that is why they stole our colors, our fight song, and our mascot.

The Princeton Review's top 20 colleges rated in terms of quality of life on campus:

Stanford - #2
Claremont McKenna - #5
Pomona - #10
Pepperdine - #20
UC-Berkeley - Unranked

even furdies don't think palo alto is superior to berkeley when it comes to quality of life.

Gotta love modesty......:good!:

Cal isn't even the best University of California. That is the Bruins.
