I may since my sis lives out there, I just know if I can muster up enough enthusiasm to see the 4th best school in the state of CA play.USC,UCLA,Stanford,CAL.:birgits_giggle:Hi, and Go Bears! I'm working on a "welcome the Vols" shirt, and would appreciate your feedback. I've narrowed it down to 2 designs. The first says "This ain't Rocky Top," and has a picture of the banjo guy from Deliverance wearing a Vols shirt, with an "x" through it. The second shirt says, in large letters, You cant spell Citrus without UT", with "Steve Spurrier" below it. It then lists the many times UT has been relegated to the Tier 3 Citrus Bowl. What do you guys think?
Settle down Beavis.
Cal is still losing a fair portion of their "name" talent, am I allowed to make that point?
does it matter? they're still dramatically overrated.I'm not going to settle down on this topic when you've shown you don't know what you're talking about.
Cal DOES lose some name talent, mostly on defense. However, you can't consider losing Mixon as losing anything. He didn't play at all for them last year. They lose Mebane, Bishop, and Hughes (plus more) on defense.

rated 14th at season end by beating a horrendous A&M team in a meaningless bowl game. great work. btw, UT finished unranked and beat Cal like a local HS team. Keep it up.
Droski,
For argument sake, I'm going to give you some props and admit that Cal could have won some games against SEC opponents. I believe Cal could have beaten (on a neutral field):
Ole Miss
Miss St
Vandy (toss up)
Kentucky (toss up)
Heck, in the west and with a favorable east matchup like Vandy, Cal could have won 2 or 3, so let's say 2.5 games in conference. With unfavorable east opponents, 2 wins at most.
Great, you've climbed up the mountain to be competitive with Vandy. Tedford's a miracle worker.
I don't underestimate CA talent, Cal just happens to recruit it poorly. You can keep getting away with doing that and winning, because USC is the only school in the PAC 10 that recruits it well.vandy, kentucky, south carolina (until this year), ole miss, miss state have not recruited as well as cal has the last couple of years. i think you underestimate the talent in the state of california.
