Anybody watching the Vandy-KY game?

I don't know.... free tickets, team trying to make history by going to 3 straight bowls.... kinda figured the SECs smallest stadium would look more full than a typical middle school stadium.

I'd say percentage wise it looks about the same as Neyland looks when we play a scrub team in this timeslot. Granted we've never given free tickets away either. Vandy does have the smallest SEC stadium, but that's because they also probably have the smallest fanbase in the conference.

But we still have 75k at least not 20k

Did you guys just see that idiot Franklin holding up one finger like he thought they got to kick an extra point after returning the blocking PAT for 2 points? Nice.

First, his assistant coach can't spell Tennessee while talking trash on twitter and now this.... brilliant.

I saw that too. Really funny

It's obvious you don't go to many games. There were 97000 at the Austin Peay game.

.... which is the point. Whether they win, lose, give away tickets, setting school records, it doesn't matter. And honestly, if Neyland looks empty, there's 85k in there. If Vandy's stadium looks empty, there's maybe 25k.

BTW, the SCar game was a noon start.... stadium was far from empty. Just sayin'.

That was my point. UT's fanbase is probably 25x the size of Vandy's. An elite private school just isn't ever going to have the following of a flagship state school. They have a much smaller base of actual alumni, and almost no "sidewalk alumni".

I said when we play a scrub team. Obviously UT is always going to draw well when a top 10 team is in town. Early kickoff + bad opponent = poorly attended game, regardless of the school.

Understand way you're saying but wouldn't you think they might grow that fan base a bit with their first back to back bowl games since 1925-26? Just proves that nobody, I mean nobody gives two ishes about Vandy.

Nb4 somebody says I do. I just like pointing out that they suck. 😊

I would say today's crowd DOES represent at least some growth of the Vandy fanbase, or at least increased interest from the alumni. Having the stadium 3/4 full for an 11AM game against UK probably wouldn't happen if they hadn't been playing pretty well this year and the past couple seasons.

Hope we get better defending screens. They throw about 10 a game to Matthews. Hes All I'm really worried about with their offense.

By the way, I've observed two other things:

1. Kimbrow sucks and can't avoid tackles.
2. We're going to block at least 2 punts against Vandy.
