Apparently Saban and Jones after Tee

AS bad as the university treated T Martin do you guys think he would come back. At one point he wasn't allowed on the sideline at games. Has this issue been fixed and relationship mended. Just curious

FWIW...Jones has stated former players have a open door policy. I think Jones also knows having not just another former player but the QB who won a NC here will help big time. Having a former VOL being a coach, wearing a NC Ring while recruiting can do wonders. This will help soldify the Vol faithful.

I agree if it wasn't Kiffin. Your telling me at USC he couldn't find a more qualified coach then Tee Martin? Two years as the WR coach at Kentucky?

I posted this in another thread, but I'll re-post it here for you. Pure results. If this doesn't show you his abilites of a coach, I'm not sure what will.

Season before Tee as their coach:

Randall Cobb: 447 Yds. 4 TDs
Chris Matthews: 354 Yds. 3 TDs

Season with Tee:

Randall Cobb: 1017 Yds. 7 TDs
Chris Matthews: 925 Yds. 9 TDs

He was their position coach. That's success, no matter how you cut it (Just like Graham did with Neal & Lane this season).

Now you can say that Woods & Lee were great before he made it to USC, but he certainly hasn't hurt them. Lee has actually excelled. I believe in him as a coach.

And, like I said, Top 25 recruiter: Rivals.com Football Recruiting - Nation's top 25 recruiters

This is not just the classic case of fans wanting a former Vol to be on the staff for the heck of it. He's worth his salt.

Tee dont let your star fade with a destined to fail coach. Especially in his first year before he's proved a thing.

ND will beat Bama in the big game. ND can stop the run and Bamas passing attack is weak. I am sick of the Bama fans and I will enjoy it when they get their mouth mashed. Also, these are not the Bama CBs of the last 4-5 years, these guys are vulnerable to stop and go patterns and fades. Too bad for Satan and his slimy bunch. Go Irish!

BUT they say Tee's wife wears the pants in that house...
Tee still might have a few ho's around K town.

I think Saben knows TN doesn't have a lot of talent but the handful we do are very good, and he gets most of them. If we hire Tee he thinks he won't get them anymore. So if he hires Tee he thinks he'll have the state. Hope we don't let it happen!!!!

I'm gonna get lit up for this, but I'd rather Tee not come here and stay out west. If he doesn't pan out here, the fan base will light him up. He should never be scrutinized by our fan base. I don't wanna hear our fans complain if he left for a better job, i.e. offensive coordinator or head coach. You all would start to hate him. It's disappointing.

Edit: I do want him here though, and I think he would be a great hire.

Respect

You are 100% correct, and I guarantee you that would happen, because TN has some of the dumbest fans in the history of CF.

Like everyone scrutinized Jay G?

Everyone got scrutinized because our entire coaching staff (minus Jay and a few others) sucked really really badly.

If true, should be a no contest. You come to the homeland.

Come home Tee! We need you here. (desperation)

Would Tee ever actually pick Alabama or Tennessee?

Just seems really wrong if he did.

UK is one thing. Alabama is another.

Do people not know that Tee is from Alabama? If you were born and raised in East Tennessee, but went to college in Michigan, would you consider Michigan home? Just sayin.

But.....but......we're Tennessee! That makes it different.

JMO but the most appealing element for me in bringing Tee back to UT as a coach and recruiter is the connection to the NC team..Having a rising star in the recruiting ranks as well as a gifted teacher as a coach make it that much more of a solid hire..

However, it would certainly be refeshing to be able to have Tee here as a testament to the fact that a NC has been here not that long ago, and can be again in the not-so-distant future...

Look, Tee will do what he and his family consider best for them. Who among us would do less? Yes, I would like for Tee to come to UT, but if he chooses differently, we should all understand and continue to honor him as one of the players on the 98 team who had the will, determination, and skill to lead us to the NC.

If Graham is truly the only coach retained; then Tee is already aboard, it just hasn't been finalized yet IMO. Go get'em coach. Hell, make Trooper a special teams coach.. That could be a helluva recruiting trio.

Get Tee yes, Tropper HELL NO! Leave that towel waving moron out. He is likely tainted goods anyway with the whole Auburn investigation going on. But I do not want him back.

He would be a blooming idiot to come here. When this crap staff is fired in 3 years, then what? He's at a better job now.

Sad but very true statement. I'm not gonna say that it is how our fans react, but it is how some of these people that post on Volnation react to aspects of Tennessee football.... What have you done for me TODAY.

I think it is a no brainer to bring him in here. He has a lot to sell to recruits with the guys he has coached and the National Championship he won while at Tennessee. I am sure these high school wide receivers know who he is and have seen what kind of success his players have had. With him being a homer on top of all that I think it would do wonders for us considering we are already Wide Receiver U.
