Apparently Saban and Jones after Tee

He would be a blooming idiot to come here. When this crap staff is fired in 3 years, then what? He's at a better job now.

Kiffin is gone.....alot of USC fans want him fired now, he will be fired next year. He went 7-5 with the best talent in the country.

So it would be smart to leave USC.

Other than the fact that people in the coaching profession have high praise for Jones' coaching ability. It is only 'idiot' UT fans that base opinion on nonsense that have doomed UT football for the next three years.

Hey buddy....have you ever heard of Chris Mortenson or Trent Dilfer? These two guys are very well respected and typically spot on with their assessment of coaches and players. They both speak very highly of Butch and think he is a star in the making. Im not guaranteeing he is going to be the next General Neyland but give the guy chance before making ignorant and baseless assumptions.

Do people not know that Tee is from Alabama? If you were born and raised in East Tennessee, but went to college in Michigan, would you consider Michigan home? Just sayin.

I was born and raised in SC.

Went to school at UT. Knoxville is my home. Not SC.

That's you. Doesn't work that way for a lot of people

Awesome, I can use the same scientific method you just used and say yours doesn't work for a lot of people.

Many people consider their college site home because it is their first experience on their own and one of the most memorable 4-5 year periods in their life.

All he would do for Nicky Satan is wipe his Ohio, mongoloid butt, fetch his morning paper, and hold his clipboard on the sidelines. Just ask Doolander and the Kirbster.

So you're now down to posting second hand rumors from Alabama message boards?
Normally not but this is one rumor that I am glad did have substance!!!!!I had also seen info on radio talk show where it was being discussed.

It's not about loyalty or whatever. Being on Butch Jones' staff is much more of a dead-end job than being on the staff of a national champion.

I disagree with you to some extent. If he comes home to UT and does very well despite the overall success of the team under Jones, he could be in line to take over the HC position down the road if he was already here and performing well. He wants to be here because it is his team, so this may over ride everything else.

I for one would love to see him here.

GBO VFL!!!

If he's a good head coach, his name will be linked to us and he'll be partial to us regardless of where he's an assistant. It's his alma mater.

Right now, I'm sure he's focused on getting to the point where he's a head coach, above all else. It's hard to argue that Alabama isn't a better stepping stone in that regard.

Tee Martin is interviewed by usctrojans.com after his hiring as receivers coach. (YouTube)

By Gary KleinDecember 10, 2012, 2:44 p.m.

USC receivers coach Tee Martin was in Knoxville, Tenn., on Monday to meet with new Volunteers Coach Butch Jones, according to several reports.
It should come as no surprise.
Martin quarterbacked Tennessee’s 1998 national championship team and would be a popular addition to Jones’ staff if he can be lured away from the Trojans.
Last week, after Jones was hired, Martin was asked about the possibility of hearing from Tennessee.
"That's where I went to school, that's my alma mater, that's always home for me,” Martin told The Times. "If the opportunity presented itself, at that time, we deal with it. But as of right now nothing has happened."
If Martin leaves USC, he would be the third receivers coach in three years to do so. John Morton left after the 2010 season to join Jim Harbaugh’s San Francisco 49ers staff. He was replaced by Ted Gilmore, who coached one season before leaving for a job with the Oakland Raiders. Martin replaced Gilmore.
