Apple event 9/9 1:00pm

Anyone else noticed that the text alerts at the top of the screen when you're in another app don't go away? They used to disappear after a couple seconds, now I have to swipe them away.

I honestly don't care about the better battery performance. I'm sure in my case it won't even matter. As long as it'll last a whole work day I'm fine. I plan to buy one of those portable chargers when I get my 6/6+.

I'm gonna try and reserve one for in store pick up this week. Hopefully I can get one. I'm just so worried about if it's gonna be perfect. I'm so OCD about that stuff (dust under screen, dead pixels, scratches). I'll exchange my device 100 times if I have to but I just hate going through all that.

I haven't had that problem.

Also today's battery or performance was a solid 12 hours that included a 2 hr hike while streaming radio and using a GPS mile tracker.

Spoke with my local Apple store today and they have a good supply of the 6 in stock. Also said they receive new shipments every day but Sunday, and is reflected in online inventory. Best bet is to order online for Apple store pickup when possible.

Does anyone have an AC router? I'll be interested to see if it's noticeably faster on my home network.

My local Apple Store has been stocked with 6 since release. AT&T is a little closer & I feel better going there when I'm using a different line to upgrade mine.

have you noticed needing two hands, vs one hand use for a 4 or a 5

Yep. Can do alot with one hand but many texting Iis clumsy with one hand. That nice one handed feature is gone but man o man do I love the larger size and the clarity of the screen. Amazing.

The screen really is nice. It's easy on the eyes.

I went out at lunch and handled both of them..
I'll probably go with the 6, I currently have a 4s so the 6 is still a nice step up.
The 6+ just seemed to big, and I do a lot of one handed, with an iPhone in the car...
I know I shouldn't while I'm driving, but using 2 hands would get me or someone else killed

Thanks for the feedback Ho

Took some pictures and tried up loading them the other day. They must be so good now the filter keeps kicking them back :)

Will have to use crop function.

I can't get photos to upload either. I'm assuming it's Safari bug but I haven't had a lot of time to tinker with it.

Full day #3 and the battery seems to be getting steadily stronger.

Woke up around 7:45 with a full charge. Streamed radio during breakfast. Checked in on my regular websites. Went for a 40 min run around 11 using GPS tracking app that keeps the screen lit, while also streaming radio. Some more web browsing, couple of phone calls, tons of texting, and took some video at my kid's soccer game (slow mo mode is awesome) then watched it a dozen times.

9:22 pm and I'm just now hitting 2% battery. Not bad.

I believe that's something to do with the Quick Reply addition to iOS 8. Devs have the ability to add it into their apps. I have to click the home button for certain alerts to go away.
