Apple event 9/9 1:00pm

I've used my gf's Note 3 as my guinea pig. Carrying it is the only thing that worries me.

And it's the only thing about the phone that bothers me so far. I was driving tonight when it rang and I'll be honest: it's a little more difficult to get out of a pocket. For me anyway. Hopefully I'll get used to it.

Are you using a case with it? I'm definitely getting AC+ when I do get the phone and am really wanting to us it naked with just a screen protector on front and back. It looks too nice to hide in a bulky Otterbox or other case.

Mine just came in yesterday!

Now, as far as the rebate goes, anyone know if my old iPhone can be traded back at an actual Verizon store, right? It doesn't have to be done by mail, right?

Currently I have an Apple case on it.

One issue with not using a case that I've seen repeatedly mentioned is the protruding camera.

Typing from my 6 and all I can say is this thing is beautiful! So sleek and THIN! I'm glad I went with the 6...screen is still very large, but will be easier for me to pocket. Even the 6 almost requires 2 handed operation for my smaller hands.

No case yet, as I didn't like anything at AT&T

Double tap the home button (tap... Not push). It brings the content from the top lower.

There's a web page for it. They'll send you a box with a return label.

For those still trying to search for one, stay on the Apple website or the Apple Store app. They are constantly updating availability for all phones for in-store pickup. This morning all models of the 6 were available and all Gold Plus storage sizes and the 16/128gb in Silver were available at my local store. I want a 64gb Space Grey though, so I passed those up.

So Ive been playing with my iPhone 6 quite a bit today since I woke up this morning around 8. Nothing too resource intensive. Mostly texting and web browsing, a little music streaming, tested a game for about 15 minutes, and downloaded a couple apps. I'm down to 17% battery which is much much much better than my 4S was doing toward the end but I'm a little disappointed in that. I was hoping to get through the whole day without a charge.

Cycle the battery a couple times. Turn auto brightness off. See what apps are using most battery.

For the 6+ users, I read an article on line yesterday and he made it seem like two handed was really the way to use it, given the screen size unless you have large hands...
I played with a 6 for awhile at a tailgate for the Razorback game.
I really liked how thin it was, I'm still on the fence between then 6 and 6+
I'm going to wait a month or so, and use a few coworkers and see which one I like

I'm getting a lot of safari and app refreshes with my 6+, which confirms what many knew: it needs more than 1GB of RAM, ideally anyway. It may not be noticeable for those who don't multitask a lot, but it's an issue I run across frequently and it drives me nuts.

And for those that asked, the device does not fit comfortably in a front jean's pocket. Not for me anyway. Maybe I'll get used it it, though.

Love using this giant, but hate carrying it around so far.

I think I've talked myself into going with the regular 6. Other than size & the optical stabilizer deal they're the same.

I'm going to give myself another week or so to decide, but I'm contemplating swapping for a 6.

But then you have the better battery on the plus

Yeah, I haven't seen any articles yet on real world differences between the two. I know specs have the Plus getting a couple more hours of battery life, but I'm wondering how accurate that is.

Keep us updated. I need to pick up two phones, 1 work (Verizon) and 1 personal (AT&T), and have been going back and forth on what to get. I had almost decided to get the + for work and 6 for personal, but I may just get 2 6's.

I've also seen some stories about bent phones. I'm guessing the size of the plus, along with the thin aluminum, is causing a few issues.

Will do. Haven't seen anything about the bending issues yet.

I liked the "better" battery and image stabilization, but I'm not sure either is a necessity for me. I can charge in my office or car as needed and haven't had an issue with blurry photos.

The 6 camera isn't gonna be worse than the 5s so it's not a huge deal
