'24 AR RB Braylen Russell (Arkansas commit)

I dont have inside info, at least not anything more than surface level that a lot of people probably know, but a lot of people have hinted that we dont do bidding wars and that if we offer a player a set amount and he comes back and says “____ just offered me this” we won’t match it. Idk for sure but that is probably what happened here, along with several others we missed out on
This has absolutely no basis in reality.

It is crazy the levels of telephone that happen on this and other recruiting sites and social media.

Stage 1:One guy comes up with a theory for how something might have happened.
Stage 2: Someone agrees with the theory and then states said theory somewhere else.
Stage 3: Someone sees theory in more than one place, and it is now fact.

Stage 4. That yellow avi troll usually says he read it from "sources" on Twitter.

There's a clear pathway for him at Arkansas.
They truthfully need him badly at RB.

Thia kid committed early to them then backed off, maybe because he just wanted to get recruited.

Very good player but we signed 3 RBs last cycle and had 3 good ones already.
Now we have 10.5 speed 200 lbs Peyton Lewis to boot.

At the end of the day, nothing is ever a lock in recruiting. There are so many forces in play to add to the already chaotic thought processes of teenage boys.

Recruiting is never all good, it’s never all bad. Bama, UGA, and Ohio State miss on targets too; it’s just part of the game.

Maybe he wanted to push the NIL being offered.

you would clearly know before me, my prediction is based on having driven through that craphole once. I just dont see how anyone would want to live there.

I'm still going Tennessee, based in blind faith.
I live in Fayetteville and trust me, it’s one of the best places you’ll ever find. Vols > Hogs all day, but the Hogs will never lose a recruit for the reason of living in Fayetteville.

Nope.

Generally, we don’t take guys whose primary demand is money. This is all across the sports programs. Our staffs will evaluate the player, his work ethic, how he fits the “culture,” personality, and NIL. We have no problem offering NIL, but it won’t be the sole factor. We also appear to get guys who will get NIL but understand that working hard and being productive will result in more NIL opportunities. Jalin Hyatt is a perfect example

Wherever he goes, in a few years this kid is gonna Derek Henry every opposing team he goes against- sure hope we don't have to run across him, would much rather have him in our backfield... He'll be handing out stingers to LB's every game like candy.

Sorry but Derek Henry was on a whole another level.

Not even close to the same caliber.

As a number of Vol Fans are now assuming that Russell will commit to Arkansas, his legend is going to quickly grow. We've already seen a comparison to Derek Henry. I'll be surprised if some fool doesn't compare him to Jamal Lewis in the next couple days too.

He reminds of Jamal Lewis. Big guy. High School diploma. First and last names contain two syllables each.

Idk about badly. Arkansas has one of the best RB rooms in the SEC and just signed a pretty high 4* coming in as a freshman. Even without Rocket Sanders it should be pretty hard to get PT right away.

Probably about the same either place honestly.

Break it down for us, if you care to.

Rahiem was the real deal, and he's going to be hard to replace.

NW Arkansas area is very nice. Been there several times. Heber Springs, Hot Springs, Trout Fishing on the Little Red and White River. Rest of Arkansas sucks. Alabama vibes
Yes their stocking and TW program is on par with TVA.

Arkansas is a haven for Smallmouth.
