Poor Aubie fan....he is scared to death they are losing Dyer. Dont cry though.....since all you Barn fans seem to think you lead for EVERY recruit in the country, I am sure you will just replace him with another 2 5-star recruits, right? :)

I wouldn't be suprised at all if those two committed with mosley possibly being a greyshirt option...i think dyer liked us alot more than people think before the wild weekend...Miller and Willis were doing work on recruits this wknd in their pursuit of a national title/titles

Per the Aubies, Dyer had an interview and said Auburn was still a strong #1 and will commit to them Friday. Said UT was #2.

Apparantly, Scout mods have hinted Dyer to Tennessee. Rivals mods (Hubbs) are unable to get in contact with Dyer since his visit, but feel like he will stick with Auburn.

Rivals MB had some quotes where Dyer was joking about only visiting Tennessee to see the girls, and that Auburn was still number one. Don't know how valid those quotes were though.

I'm fairly certain both he and Mosley will announce Friday, and I wouldn't be surprised to see them both go with Auburn.

I would be stoked if they chose us, but we got Bryce and Oku last year, and will no doubt land a top RB in next year's class. I also think we can find someone better than Mosley anyways... he is more of an option to help get Dyer imo. At RB, I think depth is a concern for anyone in the class behind BB and Oku, unless they wouldn't mind redshirting. You can say you want to compete, but reality is that the top overall RB and top APB in the class above you are a year into the system with solid game experience with at least two more years ahead of them before you get the chance to be featured.

Edit: Don't take the Mosley comment the wrong way. I'm sure our staff has some genuine interest, and wouldn't just try and get him to get Dyer (they've proved to be blatantly honest in the past, Tajh Boyd). The kid is solid, and could possibly fulfill some OL needs, but I honestly think there is better talent that this staff is capable of getting, especially with the momentum we will have over the next two months. just my opinion though....

Call me crazy but I could see Dyer getting as many carries next year as Bryce Brown is this year. Bryce Brown as the featured back, Oku getting some mop up. No one knows how T Williams will look coming back from injury and I think that Poole will just not see the field much.

I also think we could have a Lewis, Henry Stephens situation where injuries will say who plays.

The thing is, IMHO, CLK realizes that Hardesty is NFL talent and is on his last year. Having a high profile TB drafted high helps your recruiting, so he doesn't want to mess up a good thing by not letting Hardesty get the lion's share of carries.

That won't be the case next year, if Dyer, Oku or Williams are really making a strong push, I can see them sharing much more of the rock than is happening currently.

1. No WAY Dyer gets anywhere near as many carries as Brown next year if he ended up at Tennessee.

2. Was told last night...UNSURPRISINGLY... Dyer and Mosley are both going to Auburn.

TFWIW

I hope if they stick with Auburn that we do not take a Gore or a Darkwa but just focus on studs for next year.

This can help us get more of the unreal prospects on D who want to come in and crush Auburn's offense.

Monte with walk ons and three stars made a defense that is top 20 nationally.

Monte with 4 and 5 stars will make a defense that will be so much better than what USC and Texas and even Florida are doing with that level talent that people will be praying that he go ahead and retire. Unfortunately for them, I think Monte is in his last coaching job and will be here for 4-5 years at least.
