Miserables in Memphis were saying the same thing about CJP after the Georgetown game . One guy even said he was right behind him at the game and CJP didnt even speak in the time out , he swore to it . Then the video was posted and CJP was giving orders and instructions .

A little different subject but, it's a little early to judge CCM imo , he will have good days and bad days just like the players . He also dont have his recruits in the game , but hopefully he'll have enough years to see what he can do .

Well, that, and the elite eight, 3 sweet sixteens, 6 straight ncaa tournament appearances, and first outright SEC championship since 1967. Oh, and our first number one ranking ever. Oh, and we beat Texas, Kansas, Ohio State, Memphis, Florida and so on and so forth. Oh, and he embraced the community and the university. But I'm sure the reason the fans loved him is because he painted his chest at a lady vols games. :loco:

I actually agree with almost everything on this post. Except the fire Martin posts. Totally inexcusable loss, but in all honesty, Pearl lost the games we weren't supposed to, also. Lost to Oakland at our house last year by almost identical score as this year and we lost to UNCA like we are fixing to next. Needless to say but we were picked 11 out of 12 in the SEC this year. We lost Harris and Hopson(who didn't even get drafted smh) those 2 guys stay and we have another 20 win season. IMO this team has always underperformed no matter who was coaching. So hunker down for what is going to be a long year. Maybe if we're lucky we will get some recruits this year and have a chance to see what this guys got.

Yesterday's loss was no big deal really. It's not like this is something really important like football. Maybe we fans can finally return to the day when we can say "wait til football season."

Horrible in excusable loss yesterday. He better have them out there running till they puke today to help them understand how important EVERY game is.

Again, because screaming at refs and getting blue (or a Guido-esque tan) in the face shows how good of a coach you are.

Way way to early for this firing talk (just like the BS on Dooley). CCM just may be in over his head but without 2 or 3 recruiting classes of his own we will not know. He may be a bust but without seeing what he can do recruiting wise, it's way to early for a firing.

This year, along with Martin's tenure will be a joke. Joke of the SEC in fact. This isnt me being upset about having to give up Bruce, but Martin didnt deserve a job this big just yet. He proved nothing at mizz st yet hammy gave him the job.

Yeah Martin didn't prove anything by taking a 2-conference-win team to conference champions in three seasons. Plus, his Gene Keady pedigree doesn't help either. No way this guy deserves to coach a high-major NCAA team ESPECIALLY with his admirable NCAA and NBA careers.

He took a team that was 8-10 in the conference and turned them into a 2-conference-win team before his final two seasons of 20+ wins (against some of the easiest competition in the nation).

Barry Hinson did just as well, if not better, than Martin over the previous 9 seasons.
