Foster will never start in the NFL........he's way to slow and fumbles to much.....he'd be a fool to leave..... he'd prolly stay if Troop was still here.
I never knew the definition of a fool was to go out and get a 6 figure salary with a huge signing bonus:crazy:

He would be a fool not to go if he felt he would be drafted in the second round.

It would make more sense for Foster to stay. Without a proven passing qb, that should get him alot more carries next year. If his yards per carry average stays close to now or goes up, that should help his stock in the 2008 draft.

he fumbles in the WORST times!!!! 1.outback bowl last year twice. 2. south car. 3. outback this year but fell on it. 4. 28-20 against UF Ainge backhanded it but it hit Foster right on the numbers.

His 40 time at a combine will be highly scrutinized. That could make or break him.

I think a team might draft him with hopes of converting him to FB or HB. IMO he will slip to 5th or 6th round if he goes now.

He proved this year he's durable. He took a lot of hits in the SEC without getttng injured that helps him a lot.

But our RB depth will be better next year. Hardesty (if healthy) and Creer should get more carries. Then there is Vereen and possibly Poole that could get some carries. Leaving would be the wise decision IMO for Foster.

Trouble is... if you go to the combine... you're gone.

That 4th one belongs to Ainge. Foster shouldn't get any blame for that one...

You don't think the NFL scouts don't know that he won't have a good 40 time? That didn't stop him from getting a second round projection.

Again, he's not going to get much faster if he stays another season. Heck, in fact, he could risk coming off of an injury going into next year's combine (assuming he is invited).

He's definitely a lot stronger, speed wise I don't know. I'm curious what his 40 time will be. Hopefully, for him he's gotten a little faster. IMO he needs to run a 4.5 or better. I think he had around a 4.6 in high school, but he's put on weight and muscle.

If he stays... I think it will prove, if nothing else, that he is a consistant runner. After last year... it's something he needs to prove.

Personally, I can't realistically imagine him going that high either this year or next...

Look at the great UT backs of old...... some had great NFL careers some didn't play NFL at all......Foster couldn't sniff any of those RB's BUTT!!!
