Arian Foster got 2nd round projection

Me either but if scouts value him that highly then he should be gone yesterday.

I can't be mad at him if he goes. If they are willing to project him that high, you can't really make a bad decision one way or the other.

Again, he could flip a coin and come out making a good decision either way.

As of right now, the following RBs will go higher than Foster:

Mendenhall
McFadden
Jones
Charles
Hart
Choice
Savage
Torain

Then, you have some midmajor guys who could/will be ahead:

Forte
Johnson
Parmele
Alridge
McRae
Thomas

Then, you have seniors who have flaws (Foster has flaws):

Rankin
Kinlaw
Forsett
Bernard
Green-Ellis
Johnson (KSU)
Charles (CU)
McAnderson
Patrick
Boyd
Temple
Young

THEN, finally, you have underclassmen that haven't declared yet:

Stewart
Smith
Rice
Johnson (Boise)
Ringer
Slaton
Davis

Witten, Washington, etc all were given high projections and didn't go there. It happens to TONS of players every year.

I'm not an NFL scout, but I doubt he'd truly go higher than the 3rd round at best. However, if he is CONFIDENT in what he's told about Round 2, he needs to go.

No way in hades he's a 2nd rounder.

Usually around 2-3 RB's per round. Too much talent ahead of him. But, I wish him luck if he goes.

I honestly think he should go regardless.. to me he is a cocky jerk. I have been around him a few times and all he does is run his mouth. so from a personal standpoint, I kinda wish he would go. We are loaded at RB and him gone would let a couple faster guys get in the picture.

I have nothing against Foster, but after seeing VIA's list, I just don't see him going in the 2nd round. Staying another year would give him a better opportunity imho. He's been our most dependable RB (barring untimely fumbles) and I'd like to see him back for another year.

1st Round
Jamal Lewis
James Stewart

2nd Round
Charlie Garner
Reggie Cobb
Travis Henry

6th round
Cedric Houston

Somewhere just above Cedric is where I'd put him.

Good post. I think Riggs had more natural talent than Foster does, and Riggs went undrafted, too.

Oh and don't forget Travis Stephens in the 4th round of the 2002 draft.

He had one of the best single seasons in our history.

I don't think Foster can go 2nd round this year because be won't be able to run sub 4.6.
