Arian Foster is one of my favorite former Vols. Not because of what he did or does on the field, but because he breaks the football player mold in his own bizarre way.

i respect this guy for the above reason and enjoy folks that do not tote the company line.

you DO NOT ASK a professional baller about injuries....they will not tell you...watch the interview again....the interviewers were idiots to ask....sheesh

IMO....anyone who trashes a VOL....is a second or third rate fan who is using the opportunity to feel better about their own miserable existence...

I love how our fans bash each other over an opinion. And then we talk about being a VFL, and family.

It has to be the biggest farce going on in CFB.

The OP is allowed to dislike AF for his personality.. the same exact way most of you talk crap about tyler bray over his personality.

This place has become a joke.. especially to the players. Because all that happens on this site is fans bashing eachother over opinions and spelling errors. And even though personal attacks are against the rules. It still happens in every single thread here.

Even I am guilty of being drawn in the the black hole of bickering and idiocy that has become the culture of volnation.com

The coolest thing he has done was DJ last years O&W game, but I was annoyed by that as well.

I guess he's just trying to be the most annoying person he can be.

I can't believe more of you don't find this hilarious. I hope this line becomes as popular of a soundbite as "Playoffs?!!" or "We're talking about practice. Not a game, not a game!"

This...and past memories of him getting in CPF's face on the sidelines during a game...and fumbles...pretty much sums him up for me.

Plus he speaks pterodactyl. This is America. You speak American.

I personally feel bad for the guy.

He was a solid back for us during one of the saddest 4 year stretches in UT Football history. Sure we have sucked more the last 4 years, but the downfall of Fulmer was more disappointing and sad to watch IMO. I can only imagine being part of that disaster.

He was bounced around between what.. 3 OCs and RB coaches? He was convinced to come back his senior year only to see his draft stock completely fall apart because of the abysmal 2008 year with Clawfence?

Fans really piled on him too because of his fumbling issues and approach with the media/fans.

I'm not saying he was the greatest Vol of all time, but I do think he got a crappy hand dealt to him. He clearly has talent and I think in a better system he would've had a better time in college.

One thing I'm sure of is how we rode him pretty hard. That probably gave him the desire to be such a great NFL running back. To his credit, he carried the team. As Arian went so went the Vols. I don't pay much attention to the other stuff. It is what it is. Big deal.

I love how Foster is talking. He's talking like a winner. Winners can do what they want. In all seriousness, Foster was a great back at UT and had a great career here and in the NFL. I wish him nothing but the best and hope he has a great year. I just hope people on VN stop pinning the Bama fumble on him. It still gets attributed to him incorrectly about every week on this board.
