Arizona Election Audit

I'll state it again, we don't need cheap slave labor and there's plenty of able bodied citizens to fill all jobs and still have unemployment.
1) this isn't cheap, slave labor
2) there isn't enough local labor to fill all jobs
3) do you support the govt manipulating the free market wrt labor?

They should be fined fire hiring illegals. Spare me the sob story about not being able to get anybody to work. Invest in areas where there are an abundance of workers on gov assistance. Give those people job training. Give them a reason to get off that assistance. Another benefit will be lower crime.
Trump and his buddies at the US Chamber of Commerce should have paid more than lip service to E-verify.

I listed out what I want and does not list America first populism. My main issues are spending and individual freedom. Why the hell would I ever support Trump or the gop if that's the case?

Why do I care what Trump ran on as opposed to what he actually did? He also ran on easily eliminating the entire debt but we didn't quite get there did we?

If you’re waiting on a candidate to get behind that’s going to eliminate the entire debt, or even get in the ballpark, then you should just bypass Election Day. That ship has sailed. It will take a complete overhaul of American government and term limits to ever, ever even consider settling that score. Good luck on getting the populace to wise up on that note. Trump didn’t do it, but at as sorry as it is, at least he didn’t just come out and tell you he was gonna ram one home in you and and still get elected. American government is a damn disgrace and the two party system will continue to see to it that it is. The country is split. I’m no Trump fan, but he would definitely be the lesser of two evils compared to the clown show orchestrating the disaster we have now (and I think most of the country believes that) just my opinion. If this sh!t show of an administration we have now doesn’t wake the country up to the fact that that neither party has their best interest in mind, then nothing will, at some point the country is going to have to wise up and quit voting along party lines. There are never just two names on the ballot. Will that realization hit home in my lifetime ? ain’t looking good, but one can hope. Right now, hope is all we got. What I see from the bleachers.

Couple things-

I don't believe the debt can necessarily be paid off but we need to stop mindlessly increasing it. Trump was a moron for suggesting it.

Trump was perhaps the lesser of 2 evils but if that's your qualifier then he should never have been nominated. You wanted someone to beat Hilary and that cost you Biden 4yrs later

I'm suggesting the gov put tax dollars to actual good work and train all able bodied citizens for the jobs you claim can only be filled by immigrants.

What training is required to pick produce, run parts or be a dock lumper? There aren't enough citizens choosing to live close to these jobs anyways. You don't seem to understand the jobs being discussed. This isn't an auto mechanic or java programmer

Again, are you talking about cheap slave labor? I've heard this argument time and time again. No company should be able to hire illegal immigrants without facing penalties. I've heard the arguments from contractors and it's complete bullsh!t.

The issue is the government has no interest in curbing illegal immigration. Trump didn't and neither does Biden. All the border crap is just optics. I have a client that just paid $200,000.00 fine. He told me that he made millions off the workers that he was fined over. DHS doesn't deport the people caught up in the investigation, they simply fine the company and order them to fire the illegals. If you wanna changes something then start having jail time as a penalty for hiring illegals. Make E-Verify a requirement for all companies. But Americans don't want the prices of a roof to double over night. They say they don't like illegal immigration, but they don't have the stomach to fix it.

No that's not what is being discussed
It's not like illegals are working for slave wages. I have clients that have hired illegals and they pay them 17-22/hour for construction work. They simply cannot find enough citizens to do the work at those wages.
Calling for stiff penalties while not addressing the labor needs is useless. That takes real reform though and no one really seems interested in that. To much money made with the current system and it's a political wedge that can be exploited

Penalties need to be more severe. The free market will take care of prices. Again, I've heard arguments from contractors saying houses would be a million dollars if not for hiring cheap illegal immigrants. It's bullsh!t.

You're wrong about the labor market. You just think the status quo is ok. It's most definitely not ok.

You're uninformed if you keep touting job training as a need. This isn't about training it's about available and willing bodies. It's about finding a way to match those bodies with the work and getting things done

Never said it was my qualifier, but definitely saying there is no “perhaps” to it. This country’s tried left and then right and right and then left, time to get sane and get in the middle, lest we continue to see the imbecilic government we are stuck with today. (And I have no clue where you came up with (you) from. I voted Independent as I most often do, not always mind you, but most often.

Give people a reason to get off gov assistance and you'll be surprised. The gov you support does not want this. They want eternal slave voters to be poor. Apparently, you agree with this.

I agree with less govt manipulation of markets. You obviously don't

Even with full employment there would be a need for this labor. You simply don't know much about this subject besides talking points from someone else

AT&T recently put fiber cable in my neighborhood and they did it with what I am sure was 100% illegals. These guys were workers and spent 12 hours digging with picks and shovels in sweltering heat. I was told by someone that deals with the company doing the work that they pay $300 a day and they have to work until the job is done. I'm guessing for $25/hour these workers were ecstatic. We need more people in this country that are willing to work, but we've become fat, dumb and lazy.

Companies are free to do what they want. If they break the law, that's on them. No Gov manipulation at all.
Spare me claiming to be a labor expert. I'd say I've been in the labor market longer than you have. What you're claiming is a prime reason companies are so inefficient.

That's the very definition of govt manipulation!

Simply having a job doesn't mean you understand this subject. You're just repeating talking points

And the other side wants illegals to inflate corporate profits.

They did that because it was cheaper. Why do people think dirt work has to be done with a pick and shovel? Ever heard of a mini excavator? If I think exerting myself physically proves I'm a man, I'll lift a stack of weights.

The Gov should benefit it's citizens. Not illegal immigrants or corporations.

You didn't watch what they had to do to run the fiber under roads and driveways either did you skippy? I suppose a micro mini excavator could have dug around the existing cable, electric and water lines but it would have taken longer. Some times manual labor works better.

They have machines to dig under roads and driveways. Yes, a good operator can flip a coin off a sidewalk without breaking it with an excavator. There's always some manual labor, but it doesn't give an excuse to hire illegals. It's a crime to do so.
