Arizona Election Audit

So do you. I dont care about CNN, but I've been accused of defending them so I might as well make noise if you or at @DonjoVol want to say I'm defending them when I'm just criticizing the gateway pundit.
I can criticize and give my opinion of CNN all I want. And if that's who I want to focus my criticism on I can. CNN also has 34 million likes on Facebook compared to Gateway Pundit who does not even have 1 million. CNN also has nearly 13 million subscribers on YouTube. Now tell me which one of the two has a bigger audience to peddle their propaganda.

Finally. I don't just give opinions on demand. My focus in this discussion right now is CNN and CNN only. If people can't handle criticism of them then maybe they should learn to have thicker skin.

Right... you just make up opinions for other posters that you can't back up.

Many stories over the years would never have made the news if not for some crackpots. Example: Woodward and Bernstein - those names ring a bell. Historically, it's not unknown for many news organizations to ignore something until they can no longer ignore it. Currently the more popular approach by bigger "news" outlets is treat a topic with outright ridicule down to "if we ignore it, this doesn't exist" - the modern method of shooting messengers. In the past shooting messengers was generally done by those affected by bad news - now it's more by other "news" outlets who don't like the tone and don't want to discuss it.

Woodward and Bernstein worked for the Washington Post. You're comparing that to the GP?

The best thing which can be said about The Gateway Pundit is that most of their "reporting" is so off-the-wall ridiculous in nature, that the average adult with common sense would not think to take it seriously. From that perspective, they can be viewed as relatively harmless.

However, that doesn't make what they do acceptable. About 5 years ago, The Gateway Pundit was circulating a video of the father of a Sandy Hook Elementary school shooting victim being interviewed. They falsely claimed that the father in the video was an actor paid by an anti-gun legislation lobby to appear in the video. Alex Jones of InfoWars shared the same video. That wasn't bad journalism, as much as it was mean-spirited.

There is a significant portion of the population that believes the GP is legit. There are still people that believe that Sandy Hook was faked.

It does appear that you’re in cnn defense mode.
I have no problem identifying either as garbage.

Nah. Somebody posted from the pundit yesterday and the usual "let's talk about CNN instead" came up. I asked dingo what he thought about the gateway pundit and that apparently was a CNN defense. I've just been trying to get his opinion on the pundit and a quote where i defended CNN ever since.
Edit: in fact I even told him I didn't trust CNN when he asked.

It’s that whataboutism that gives the allusion of defense.
What’s wrong with simply saying “I agree CNN is garbage. Explain how GP is any different?”

If you ask a whatabout about the original topic that got whatabouted, is it really a whatabout? But I'll try it your way.

I believed it was explained, when he said the impact of CNN lies were much larger then GP....no one pay attention to the crazy guy shouting on the corner..but if there is 100 crazy guys are in an area it will garner much more attention...therefore more impactful...neither is right or good..

Or solution.....matter of perspective I guess.
Some would say the repubs running someone so reviled by millions was stupid.
If you’re stupid enough to think the unknown is better than the unknown then you get what you deserve. This time the unknown was clearly a massive error and you morons drug the rest of us with you. Luckily this will likely destroy your bankrupt ideas for another 20 years. (Just like the Carter cluster ****)

I guess what I’m saying is the larger impact should be an irrelevant argument. They’re both bad and should be called out that way.

Amazingly enough, I completely disagree.
This time the known (Trump) was so horrendously despicable, any unknown (which Biden wasn't) was guaranteed to be better.
