Democrat voters aren't. Some individuals are, on both sides, but as a whole neither are malicious.

I know what the definition says... but in practical application, most people would not refer to the expression of hostility towards a political party and it's members as "bigotry". If I'm a bigot for what I've said about conservatives/Republicans/Trump voters then so was Rush Limbaugh (Big Time!), and in turn, so are most of the political pundits you see on cable news currently. However, nobody applies that definition to include membership of a political party.

He didn't hurt my feelings. I'm not a republican. But he didn't call "Trump supporters" anything. He charged all of that to Republicans. It's a misguided, ignorant, bigoted opinion about a large group of people and I called him on it. Looks to me like some of y'all on here don't like being called out as bigots.

Once again, you look like the idiot for including a political party and its members among a "group of people" who could be the victims of "bigotry". You are also very inconsistent in this application... unless you are willing to apply that same standard to basically everyone who works on Fox News, and most of the conservatives who post to this forum. It is just plain dumb. Nobody considers a wholesale attack against a political party to be the same degree of malicious prejudice as an attack against people who comprise either a race or a religion.

The unconditional defense of Trump is "pledging allegiance to Trump". House Minority Leader, Rep. Kevin McCarthy, was also very critical of Trump following the January 6th incursion at the Capitol. However, once he realized that criticism hadn't gone over well with his constituents, he changed his tone. That isn't standing on principle, or showing any backbone. It's fealty to one man. That is what the Republican Party has become. It also speaks volumes of the Republican Party's subservience to Trump that they are conducting yet another audit of an election which was held six damn months ago... just to indulge and placate the egotistical needs of that same man.
