'25 Arizona Transfer IOL Wendell Moe (Tennessee)

It’s hard for any true freshman to walk in and start as a freshman at offensive tackleIt’s a very tough transition, the strength gained after a year or 2 in college plus the complexity of the position cannot be overlooked. Not that Sanders might not contribute he has many qualities that exceed a normal freshman but there is still a transition and getting stronger is still a important ingredient. GBO

Having a solid LG does wonders for controlling the left side of the line. Mo’ BEEF!

Please dive into this for me - How does he not fit for us? I am honestly curious.
Our lineman do a lot of pulling and blocking in space. I just don’t see him having the foot speed/agility.

I only watched a little of his playing footage. I’m sure the staff worked him out when he was on campus though.

This was just all my initial reaction and opinion.

Kids in high school have access to pretty elite training these days, especially top prospects. I think it's more knowledge and experience in the system and getting used to the speed of the game that holds back freshmen these days moreso than college S&C being so much better than what they have in high school. I don't care what competition he's faced in high school, even the worst DE he'll go up against here will probably be better than the best he faced in high school, and that will require some acclimation.

You have to have better feet to pass pro, than you do to run block IMO.

We were heavy counter this year, but in the past we have been heavy zone. Adding TE's to our offense has allowed us to pull more.

You can always scheme to your strengths/weaknesses. You can pull tackles/H-backs and let the guards stay in, etc.

Hope this one works out. I just don’t see him as a fit for us but the coaches obviously get paid to know more.

One career sack isnt a fit?

I'm not really understanding the origin of the apprehension here. Moe is an AP Second-Team All-Pac-12 Offensive Gaurd. Is it due to his 3-Star rating? lol... Our coaches went after him in the portal and we landed him. He's a bulldozer and provides immediate depth who can play now. Why would they target him if we're worried about him working out? smh..
