Army Soldier refuses to salute flag

As a result of her actions her picture spread around the world with lightning speed and almost immediately drew the attention of high level members of the Army, prompting the senior most colonel at Fort Carson to hold a news conference regarding the incident.
“The Army is taking the incident seriously and has launched a probe that could result in discipline,” Col Heidi Hoyle said in the conference. “A soldier is required to salute.”
Although cases like this are generally handled with administrative discipline such as losing rank or pay, the soldier could face court martial for insubordination or failure to obey regulations.

It doesn't matter the sport or event, if they play the National Anthem, everyone should stand up and show the proper respect.
