Army Soldier refuses to salute flag

I thought the asvab was on a scale of like 1-99? I think my overall was 93 and my low was an 88 in mechanical.

I think each service scores it differently. Four areas, right? Administrative, general, mechanical and electrical.

The streak will end soon. Well, honestly, the country will collapse before we beat Navy. I'm resigned to thar. Should really start playing Coast Guard instead, that's kinda the Navy.

Well Putin is in the Ukrain, so this might happen soon lol

A group of soldiers arguing about who's smarter is like a group of turtles arguing about who's faster.

It reminds me of a routine the late George Carlin used to do about oxymoron's, in regards to 'military intelligence'....

I took the ASVAb in 1991. I passed but don't remember my score

That's when I was Gung Ho about joining the Army

I was young and stupid and didn't know what the hell I wanted to do at the time. Sometimes I wish I would had sacked up and enlisted.

But, that was then and I don't dwell much over spilled milk

Sounds like you are lol

I have met Infantry soldiers that maxed out the ASVAB. Despite stereotypes, some of the smartest people I have met have been combat arms types.

Yeah, I did what I wanted to do. Probably not the best decision long term, but I don't regret it.

Yeah, they happen to be 18X series :)

I think all services have morons no matter what job they happen to be filling. It's like there is a hidden MOS/AFSC/NEC that's locked away in a file at the personnel centers. And as soon as you get rid of them, someone in personnel notices and says "hey guys, the 1/35 got rid of their dumbass, cut orders for a new one to replace him."

Some choose to go that route. I have met some absolutely brilliant 11 series, 12 series, 19 series, and in rare instances 13 series.

Can't remember my ASVAB score, that was in 1987. I just remember the recruiter asking me what I wanted to do, my scores were high enough I qualified for whatever I wanted to do. I said I want to jump out of airplanes and run around in the woods, 11B it was.

19D, Cav scout right?

I was in a Cav scout unit in Korea when the unit transitioned to Bradley's. I was lucky enough to get a sniper slot, it was a good time.

99 on the asvab. I was pulled from class and was offered 8k to go to ranger school after AIT. This was in1993
