Another solid episode!
She now knows the truth!
Lance isn't taking the news of Sara very well.
Correct me if I'm wrong...but wasn't the whole Bruce Wayne/Talia thing set up by Ras to try and get Batman as his...successor? Weezer's fears about them trying to turn Olliver into Bruce may have been well-founded after-all... lol
Have you all actually watched this show from the beginning or did you just jump on board? We all know Oliver isn't going to take his offer and become the head of band of killers, that's just asinine.
Secondly, nobody has mentioned it and I'm surprised but was that supposed to be a Lazarus Pit that Ra's was in at the beginning of the episode or was it just an elaborate hot tub? Last I read the CW didn't want to dip into the Lazarus Pit aspect, pun intended. Why don't we discuss the elephant in the room with the Atom? Are we looking at another spin off or are they seriously going to add another superhero to the Arrow show?
And do you think Bruce Wayne has ever accepted Ras' offer to become his successor? I know thinking gives you headaches so I'll go ahead and give you the answer, it's no. No one said Ollie would take him up on the offer, it's just the idea that they're so closely parallelling the Bruce Wayne/Ra's al Ghul dynamic.
No plans have currently been announced for an Atom spin-off, so he'll either be a member of Team Arrow or relegated to obscurity.
And not every hero introduced is going to provide a spin-off, but if you take some heroes introduced in Arrow and some heroes introduced in The Flash, you could potentially do a team spin-off. Maybe have them work as Waller's public team? Since they've decided to do a Suicide Squad movie, I doubt a TV show is in the future(despite DC keeping their TV and movie franchises separate), but you could do an Outsiders team that basically worked for Waller to some degree. You've already got Firestorm, the Atom, and Katana as potential members. (Tatsu may not like Waller, but depending on the incentive, she would work with her if needed.)
Sorry, just throwing a random idea out there with this post.
Just after I asked about an Atom spinoff....
Arrow-Flash Spin-Off: CW Developing New Superhero Series | Deadline
The Arrow/Flash Spinoff Casts Ciara Renée As Hawkgirl
EXCLUSIVE: It has been a fast rise for young actress Ciara Renée, who graduated from Baldwin Wallace University with a degree in music theater in May 2013. Since then, she made her Broadway debut in Big Fish and replaced Patina Miller as Leading Player in the revival of Pippin. Last fall, she made her TV debut with a guest shot on NBCs Law & Order: SVU. And now, she has landed a lead in The CWs proposed Arrow/Flash spinoff series, playing the role of Kendra Saunders aka Hawkgirl.
The superhero team-up show, from Arrow creators Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg and Marc Guggenheim, was to bring in three new DC superhero characters never seen on TV, along with a slew of Arrow/Flash recurring fan favorites. Hawkgirl is not expected to be one of them as the character has appeared in a Season 9 episode of the WB/CW drama Smallville, played by Sahar Biniaz, as well as in a couple of animated series including Justice League.
In the new series, Saunders is a young woman who is just beginning to learn that she has been repeatedly reincarnated over the centuries. When provoked, her ancient warrior persona manifests itself, along with wings that grow out of her back, earning her the moniker Hawkgirl.
On the Arrow/Flash spinoff, eyed for next midseason, Renée joins Brandon Routh (Arrows Ray Palmer/The Atom), Wentworth Miller (The Flashs Leonard Snart/Captain Cold), Dominic Purcell (The Flashs Mick Rory/Heat Wave), Victor Garber (Dr. Martin Stein) and Caity Lotz whose role is still TBD as her Arrow character Sara Lance was killed off, with her sister Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy) taking over as the Black Canary.
Per the released breakdowns, the Arrow/Flash spinoff has been casting three new roles. With one of them turning out to be Hawkgirl, Lotz could end up playing one of the three new-to-TV DC characters, along with the two new male roles, now casting.
Berlanti and Kreisberg, who also co-created The Flash, executive produce the new series alongside Guggenheim and Sarah Schechter for Warner Bros. TV and Berlanti Prods.
Renee, repped by Stone Manners Salners Agency, recently starred as Esmeralda in a workshop production of the Disney musical The Hunchback Of Notre Dame at the Papermill Playhouse in New Jersey and the La Jolla Playhouse.
Arrow/Flash Spinoff Enlists Arthur Darvill To Play Rip Hunter
Another superhero is joining the ranks of the CWs Arrow/Flash spinoff. British actor Arthur Darvill (Doctor Who) is set to play Rip Hunter in the superhero team-up show, from Arrow creators Greg Berlanti, Andrew Kreisberg & Marc Guggenheim. Rip Hunter, described as a roguish time traveler who hides the strains of being responsible for history itself behind a facade of charm and wit, is the first of 3 DC characters that previously have not been exploited in TV, to join the new project.
The Arrow/Flash spinoff, eyed for next midseason, features three newly cast roles, two of them played by Darvill and Ciara Renée (Hawkgirl), as well as several actors who play recurring characters on Arrow and The Flash, including Brandon Routh (Arrows Ray Palmer/The Atom), Wentworth Miller (The Flashs Leonard Snart/Captain Cold), Dominic Purcell (The Flashs Mick Rory/Heat Wave), Victor Garber (Dr. Martin Stein) and Caity Lotz whose role is still TBD as her Arrow character Sara Lance was killed off, with her sister Laurel Lance (Katie Cassidy) taking over as the Black Canary. Lotzs character could be the second new-to-TV DC superhero on the new show, with the remaining new male role, which is still being cast, as third.
Berlanti and Kreisberg, who also co-created The Flash, executive produce the new series alongside Guggenheim and Sarah Schechter for Warner Bros. TV and Berlanti Prods.
Darvill, most recently seen playing Reverend Paul Coates on the praised ITV drama Broadchurch, and co-starring in Once on Broadway, is currently on stage at the National Theatre playing Long John Silver in Treasure Island. He is repped by Silver Lining Entertainment and Independent Talent Group.
