You mean the Pat Summitt who begged and pleaded for Buzz Peterson to be given another year? Excuse me if I'm not terribly concerned about what she thinks. She should stick to trying not to be rendered totally irrelevant by Geno.

Pat Summit tolerates and has formed a working relationship with CBP, this is what any professional would do. I can tell you that she does have serious reservations about Pearl and is not a big fan of him as a person. I know this for a fact, whether you believe me or not, I couldn't care less.

I know. Fan of women''s basketball or not, she's represented the university, profession, and state well.

Regardless of sport, it's all one Tennessee family, at least in my opinion.

Saying Geno has surpassed Summitt and UCONN is now clearly the preeminent program in women's basketball isn't bashing. It's fact.

There's about 7-8 jobs that Pearl would leave for..

Kansas
Duke
UNC
Indiana
Arizona
UCLA - (Could you imagine how tan he could get on the beach?)
Syracuse
I don't want to believe he would leave for Kentucky, but who knows.

HOWEVA, I'm not so sure Bruce would be at the top of the list for any of these schools. And if he were that would mean that he has satisfied our fan base with a national title or two.

Calhoun and Geno don't even acknowledge each other's existence. Doesn't seem to have hurt their programs.

Let's see, I can either choose to trust someone who has nothing at stake and has chosen to offer information that has much more often proven true than not......or I can choose to believe some coach speak knowing that 99% of coaches out there are always looking to upgrade.

Forgive my ignorance, but it looks to me like all of those schools are top tier schools except for Arizona. Why would Bruce leave Tennessee for Arizona?
