Might as well been three scores. TN wasn't going to score and they were not stopping GA. It was over when they went ahead. Same way we felt against Oklahoma. Once we were ahead we knew it was over.

Are you saying we are worse than Penn State, who can’t score against Ohio State from the one yard line, plus they don’t play anyone( PSU is the most overrated team in my opinion) Notre dame? We beat Bama, And beating UGA on the road is HARD. We competed and had to be at the refs as well. Still one the best 12 I think.

Of course and we are and continue to get there but some here throw such a fit after any loss like no loss should ever happen if we get to where we need to be. When we get to Georgia’s level, and we are close, that likely means the games will mostly be split unless GA falls below their standards.

Thats all I’m saying.

We are as much a playoff team as many in the top 12. Your entitled to your opinion but it is wrong in my opinion! If we make the playoffs we are deserving. Nearly every team has flaws and many play weak competition. No way 4 sec teams shouldn’t be in. If we are in that top 4 we absolutely deserve it. GBO

Really need to beat Vandy badly to get some committee points and this is assuming we win big next week. Still not a fan of Heuple's ball control pedestrian offense but that what he has settled on this season so making the best of it. I mean Nico threw 33 passes last night and the longest was for 17 yds. Depending on long 12 play drives don't beat GA.

This team isn't equipped to beat Georgia. Defense was shredded by a QB who likes to throw picks, offense in 2nd half was uninspired and flat. Heupel does not have the coaching acumen to beat Georgia, much like Fulmer couldn't beat Florida. Until Kirby leaves GA, TN is pretty much guaranteed these results. It is what it is, hello obsolete Florida bowl game

Hang in there, my man. I know how you feel. This is twice in the 4 years that Heupel has been coach where the Vols have been one game away from getting into the SEC championship. both times lost in Athens!

I am more sad that our coaches did not have them ready for Georgia. Can’t fault the players for everything.

Didn't have them ready? Lol we punched first and we're up 10-0. Game tied at halftime, and rest of game down by a single score with a freshman QB on the road for a night game. We had no major turn overs on offense like other games

Of course even the greats lose one from time to time. But not annually in a pivotal game that keeps them from attaining greatness.

Yeah. UGA oline won the trench battle. Dline was pedestrian and was supposed to be the strength of the defense. They've not looked good defensively for 3 weeks. Either they're wearing down or they're playing too many guys and some don't need to be out there other than depth..

We have played 2 FBS teams with winning records. We have played 5 of the worst 6 teams in the conference. It will end up as 6 or the worst 7 teams.

We have had a very easy schedule and still managed to drop a bad one.

How many playoff contenders with 2 losses have played 5 of the 6 worst teams in their conference and have only beaten one FBS team with a winning record? If you can show those to me, then I’d be more than willing to look critically at their resumes.

We don’t make adjustments. The system is what it is, no adjustments needed. Heupel says often that it’s all about “alignment and assignment”. When things aren’t going well, blame the execution.

It's year 4 for this staff and they still can't win against a quality opponent on the road. There's no way I'd pick us to beat Vandy at this point.
