Just like '22 and several other years. We get a game with everything on the line for us. It's right there for the taking and we do what we almost always seem to do in critical games. Still, I can't be too upset. We've seen this team for 10 games now. We know who and what they are. We have a shot at 2 more wins which gives us a 10 win regular season and those don't come around very often. A bowl game win would give us 11. Pretty amazing given our one trick pony offense. Nico and this offense isn't there yet and this simply isn't a playoff caliber team.Tennessee just isn't a playoff caliber team. Even if they won out and the committee let them into the playoffs, they won't go anywhere. Nico just isn't there yet and neither are the receivers. They can't make the plays that matter enough times. This was a totally beatable Georgia team and if you asked me at the beginning of the year I would have called this a 100% loss but I had hope they could actually win.
The defense got beat in the passing game but we lost this game because the offense didn't execute or score any points in the second half.
Hopefully 2025 Nico will finally be prime time. I just hope that we get more that one year of elite Nico before he bolts for the NFL. We don't need or want to be a QB development school. We need guys ready to play elite day 1.
Tonight is the saddest I've been in a while. I thought they would actually do it tonight and break the cycle of violence.
Lots of teams have ugly wins. None will give them back. It's the ugly/bad losses that we keep pulling out of our backsides that seem to derail all our hopes and dreams. If we don't drop '22 SCjr and '24 Arky, we are in a far different situation both seasons. We are easily within the top 12 teams in the country. Committee has been rewarding teams for playing nobody
Agree with almost everything you said. I think we’re a playoff caliber team but are by no means the elite team many on here say we are. The problem is there are 15 other “playoff caliber” teams out there - we’ll just have to see if the committee thinks we deserve to be in. This is assuming we beat UTEP and Vandy of course.Tennessee just isn't a playoff caliber team. Even if they won out and the committee let them into the playoffs, they won't go anywhere. We have nobody to blame but ourselves for not beating Arkansas. Schedule gave us no room for error with Alabama and Georgia being our only opportunities for statement wins.Yep. Committee does not want 5 SEC team in the playoffs though so they could screw us. I think they will switch us and UGA in the rankings next week. Hopefully we win out and should be in if other games go as they should.
If UGA is basically in then Bama is definitely in. They beat UGA and have been dominant the last few weeks, positioning themselves as clearly one of the 12 best teams right now. That's probably fair. I'm just preparing for disappointment. I feel like Bama would get the benefit of the doubt and based on the timing of the losses they probably would go ahead of us. UGA is basically in at this point.

You're wrong. This season, is a season of contrasts, improbabilities, contradictions, insanity, and goodness knows what else. NIU beats Norte Dame, Vandy slaps Alabama, terrifies Texas, Stanford picks Louisville's pocket, and Colorado is 8-2 in Deoin's second year. Not to mention that unranked Arizona beat #10 Utah, Kentucky vilified Ole Mississippi. So, Tennessee soiled their diaper last night. Par for course, I say. They're just as worthy of playoff inclusion, as anybody else. You insulted me but you never said I was wrong
Man, I hope you're right. I knew we'd lose to GA and still got sucked in after the fantastic 10-0 start. Foolish me. Nico needs to improve but we need a better o-line, better WRs and a better playbook. It sucks but I’ve certainly been much sadder after a Tennessee loss. This team has struggled for weeks on offense and hasn’t played a complete game. I had high hopes, but I also prepared myself for the loss. I believe next year Nico makes a big step forward, and that’s what keeps me happy.
