Ashli Babbitt’s Killer is a blm Militant

They should have secured the grounds and not allowed the rioters to get close enough to breach the building. They knew it was coming and let it happen.
I see. They should have let her break through that door and do God knows what in a room full of Congressmembers because she'd already gotten away with other stuff.

Let's change the hypothetical around a little bit, what if this happened during the state of the union and the President was trapped in the Speakers lobby?

They let the vast majority of them inside the building.

I have a theory on that. I doubt anyone will admit it though. I think they didn't expect them to actually try to get in, were completely overwhelmed when they did. Either start shooting at civilians, try to keep them out (remember the cop who was almost crushed in the door), or stand down and hope they don't do too much damage. I suspect they went with option three.
This leads me to another thought, this could have been stopped if they had a heavier security presence. They did this and brought in NG in the aftermath and for the inauguration. People heavily criticized them for militarizing the Capitol and running a police state because they took the actions that would prevent another Babbit situation.

It really isn't this difficult, Bobbitt should not have done what she did. They should not have been allowed inside the capitol to begin with. There were multiple failures that day, beginning with planning. Nobody wants to entertain that conversation in this instance because that weight falls on one person.

While Trump deserves a portion of the blame Pelosi does as well she was responsible for not taking the steps to secure it.

I think they took heat for keeping them in a parking garage. They wanted them there for the security, but didn't want them in their way in the cafeteria. I think that was the vast majority of the complaint people had.

If I get a chance I'll do a deep dive through the comments.

How is Pelosi responsible for Capitol security?

They wanted this to happen.

How is Pelosi responsible for Capitol security?
She has enacted many security measures, some for covid etc. The house SAA reports to her. She is not solely responsible but she is responsible. They were offered resources, those were rejected.

Pretty sure.

Pelosi might have some control by virtue of the fact that the capitol police are controlled by a board, one of whom is the House Sergeant-at-arms who reports to Pelosi. The board also includes the senate Sergeant-at-arms who reported to mcconnell at the time, and the architect of the Capitol who was a direct appointee of Donald Trump. Both sergeants at arms are elected by their respective entity. Otherwise, the speaker of the House is not actually in charge or security.

Then so is Mitch McConnell to whom the senate sergeant at arms reported, and so is Donald Trump who appointed the architect of the Capitol. The covid measures for Pelosi applied only to the house and the Speaker has no direct responsibility for building security.

Got it. So they shouldn't even have let them get inside the Capitol before they started shooting?
It shouldn't have even gotten to that point. National Guard units were available to secure the Capitol building. The Capitol Police requested that they be deployed 6 times... and someone in the Democratic leadership of both the House and Senate denied the request. If you want to understand why Dems were so adamant about keeping Republicans they didn't hand pick off the January 6 committee... you start with this fact.

Ex-Capitol Police Chief Says Requests For National Guard Denied 6 Times In Riots

You should ignore the gratuitous shot at the protesters- "that turned into a deadly attack on Congress." Liberals just can't seem to help themselves when it comes to "poisoning the well". The ONLY deadly force was used against this young woman.

I do not know if it was justified. I do not know if she presented a threat. I do know that it was quickly swept under the rug and she was denied her day in court. Imagine this was a BLM protest and a young black female AF vet were shot by a white officer. What would have been the reaction? Is there a chance there wouldn't be a trial?

If so, Trump and his minions played right into their diabolical scheme.
Don't know about Trump or even the vast majority of his minions. About 750 people actually went into the Capitol. Most did nothing at all. That's out of a protest numbering around 1 million. We are told that the 2020 George Floyd riots were "OK" because only about 10% of protesters were violent. On January 6, .075% of the protesters actually went into the Capitol building. Some small fraction of those actually engaged in conflict with officers... and yet the left wants to call this an "insurrection" and a threat to democracy and a coups attempt... worse than 9/11 and World War II.

I'm not saying that it wasn't a bad act or that those involved shouldn't be punished under the law. But the narrative the Dems are pushing is nothing less than Goebbels style propaganda.

There were not 1 million people there on 1/6
