Ashli Babbitt’s Killer is a blm Militant

How many casings were found? I know it’s been said that there were shots fired.. And, what about the slugs taken from the walls and the ceilings? I seem to have missed that part.

Of course an angry mob presents a threat. I have already explained that the threat was a collective one. Simply describing Ashli Babbitt as "unarmed" doesn't tell the whole story. She was a member of a mob, and participating in mob violence. The threat was in the numbers.

"Party of law and order" my a$$.
So how many fatalities should there have been last summer in Portland and other cities where federal buildings were attacked/breached

No idea... I wasn't there. Had anyone been killed by the police while participating in acts of mob violence in Seattle or Portland in 2020, I damn sure wouldn't call it a murder. Ashli Babbitt is dead as a result of her own poor judgment.

If the threat is the sheer number of people then what good is shooting one going to do?
When dealing with an unorganized assemblage of people, having a dead body front and center can go a long way towards crowd dispersal. Nobody wants to be the 2nd body. It can cause others to do some much needed reflection, concerning whether or not the cause is worth dying for.

So in this case did everything stop when she was shot or did the crowd continue advancing?

If a black guy was running at a white cop with a knife and the cop shot him, there would be more street riots. I think its pretty obvious where the bias is.

If this cop had been white the case would have went to a grand jury, with everything that went on last summer there was no way the prosecutors were going to take a chance with a GJ Indicting him.

Ashli Babbitt's Widower Discourages Violence at 'Justice for J6' Rally on Saturday

Aaron Babbitt, husband of Ashli Babbitt who was killed during the Jan. 6 Capitol riot, requested there be no violence at the "Justice for J6" rally scheduled for Saturday in Washington, D.C.

"The last thing I want is violence occurring in my wife’s name. I don’t want it," Aaron told Fox 5 . "More bloodshed at this point is not going to do anything in terms of getting justice for Ashli."

Ashli Babbit was shot as she tried to breach a door leading to the Speaker's Lobby as the Capitol Police evacuated members of Congress during the riot in January. She was transported to Washington Hospital Center, where she died from her injuries.

Aaron said he believes his wife was murdered , despite the officer who fatally shot her during the protest, Lt. Michael Byrd, being cleared of wrongdoing by the Capitol Police and the Justice Department.

US Capitol Police Officer Michael Byrd revealed his identity as the officer who shot Babbitt on January 6 during an interview with NBC's Lester Holt

“To Ashli’s family and friends, please know that her memory will live on in our hearts for all time,” Trump said. “Ashli served our country in the United States Air Force for 14 years, where she was a security forces airman and eventually went on to achieve the rank of senior airman. She defended our nation overseas including in Iraq to fight in the war on terror.”

“On that horrible day of January 6, Ashli arrived at the United States Capitol,” he continued. “She was shot and tragically killed. Today would’ve been her birthday. Happy birthday, Ashli.”

Babbitt Shooting Internal Police Docs Reveal 'no good reason for shooting,' According to Judicial Watch

The documents show witnesses recount they did not see Babbitt holding a weapon

More than 500 pages of internal documents from DC Metropolitan Police concerning the fatal shooting of Ashli Babbitt in the Capitol on Jan. 6 reveal witness accounts stating she was not holding a weapon at the time of her death and how "upset" the officer was after shooting her.

"These previously secret records show there was no good reason to shoot and kill Ashli Babbitt," stated Tom Fitton, president of Judicial Watch, which obtained the documents through a May 2021 FOIA lawsuit. "The Biden-Garland Justice Department and the Pelosi Congress have much to answer for the over the mishandling and cover-up of this scandalous killing of an American citizen by the U.S. Capitol Police.

A Capitol Police sergeant, whose name is redacted, described seeing Babbitt climbing through a broken window, but did not witness her holding a weapon, according to a portion of the documents received by Judicial Watch.

"Sergeant [redacted] observed a white, female protester was climbing through an opened area where the glass pane had been knocked out. He heard a gunshot and this female fell backwards through the opening. The crowd on the other side of the barricaded east doors, began to step back and some put their hands in the air. Sergeant [redacted] observed Lieutenant Byrd step back just after hearing the gunshot. He did not see anything in the female protester’s hands prior to the gunshot," the Internal Affairs Division report stated.

"Sergeant [redacted] never went on the other side of the barricaded east door. He also did not know that it was Lieutenant Byrd who shot his gun until he talked to him moments after it occurred. Lieutenant Byrd looked upset and stated, ‘I was the one who took the shot,’" the report continued.

"Uh, I saw Lieutenant Byrd kinda. I don’t know if it was before or after. Cause I was trying to figure this out of, but there was at one point where I remember seeing him and he kind of went like this and then came back up again. Uh, I don’t know if that was from him taking the shot and then stepping back from that shot or if it was before that, I can’t, no matter how I tried to rack my brain, I can’t, I can’t figure out when that happened, but uh, so I don’t know if something happened to him where [sic] caused him to take the shot or not," the written transcript states.

He added that Byrd directed him and other officers to go down "into the subway" following the shooting.

The only way her family get’s any justice now is in civil court damages. I hope her killer suffers a miserable life.

The deceased's past is only relevant if the deceased is black.

Nary a conviction.

I'm sorry, but their lives are no more important than any other persons. Also, nice race baiting in post #792
Ok then remove the fact they are lawmakers in the capitol (which is actually really relevant but whatever)

They were people being protected by officers behind a barricaded door. She attempted to breach that thru a broken out window and was shot.

What does that have to do with the post I responded to? I have no issue where her being shot. I have an issue with the idea that it was because there were lawmakers in the building.

FIFY

I mean, you can peruse the Cop thread and see instance upon instance about how the police could have/should have used lesser means of force against suspects. It changes in this instance?
